Manchester United’s hierarchy may punish Lisandro Martínez in the name of protecting the club’s image. But what exactly are they trying to protect: the club’s reputation or the people responsible for its failures?

The real damage to Manchester United’s image is happening on the pitch and in the decisions made behind the scenes, not because a player has publicly questioned a structure that has repeatedly failed to deliver.

Swipe through to see why silencing criticism won’t fix what’s rotten at Manchester United.

Manchester United fans have every right to be frustrated with the owners. But are the players getting away with too much?

Different managers have come and gone, yet the same problems keep returning.

Players arrive with huge expectations, enjoy the excitement of signing for one of the biggest clubs in the world, and then gradually become part of the problem.

So why does the debate over player accountability keep getting overshadowed by the ownership?

Everton’s owners, The Friedkin Group, are exploring a possible sale of a controlling stake, less than two years after taking over.

The reported £800m price includes around £380m of debt, so the real number is smaller than it looks.

Swipe to see how the numbers break down. 👉

Antonio Conte is being linked with Manchester United.

He is not the type of manager who quietly accepts things he believes are wrong.

From Juventus to Chelsea, Inter, Tottenham and Napoli, we’ve seen the same pattern: when he feels the club isn’t giving him what he demands in terms of ambition, recruitment, resources or support, He speaks.

Raw. Direct. Unfiltered.

Conte isn’t Michael Carrick.

He isn’t likely to simply absorb his frustrations and carry on.

If Conte believes the people above him are part of the problem, he will say it.

United may need a manager strong enough to challenge the system.

But can the system handle a manager who challenges it publicly?

Swipe through some of Conte's rawest words when things didn't go his way.

September 2008.

Manchester City got new owners.

And the Premier League was never quite the same again.

The money didn’t just change what City could buy.

It changed who they could take players from.

Deals rivals thought were almost done? Hijacked.

Rival clubs fought to keep their stars? City could offer more.

Transfer fees too high for others? City could pay them.

Wages outside the reach of competing clubs? City could offer them.

Clubs chasing the top four saw their plans disrupted.

Swipe through to see who City took, and which rivals they took them from.

Manchester City could be facing a player exodus they cannot control.

If their appeal fails, the fallout could go far beyond relegation.

Some of City’s biggest stars may have a legal route to decide their own future.

And that could leave the club with a problem money cannot easily solve.

This wasn’t just a falling-out.

Look at the decisions. Look at the statements. Look at the timing.

One by one, Cristiano Ronaldo’s status was stripped away, until walking away became the only thing left.

Coincidence?

I don’t think so.

Swipe through the sequence and decide for yourself.

Manchester City’s owners are used to getting what they want.

But what happens when the answer is NO?

City can deny the findings. They can fight the punishment. They can appeal every decision.

But there is one thing they cannot control:

what happens when the people making the rules refuse to bend.

And if City can’t get their way this time, just how far could the fall go?

Swipe.

Manchester City could face a punishment far worse than relegation.

Because if you are expelled…

Who says someone else has to take you? 👀

And if nobody does… City could be left without a place in professional football.

Swipe to see how far this could actually go.

How do you punish Manchester City without punishing everyone?

If the financial breaches are ultimately upheld, City should face serious consequences. Rules only matter if breaking them has a real cost.

But I don’t think the answer should be to destroy everything that came before.

Fans, players, coaches and employees didn’t create the financial breaches. They shouldn’t be the ones paying the price.

Punish the club. Make them earn their future. But don’t erase the memories.

What do you think?

Pep’s warning hits differently now. 👀

With City reportedly found guilty on the vast majority of the charges, the timeline raises a very uncomfortable question:

Did Pep know something we didn’t?

I’m not saying he did. But that pattern is hard to ignore.

Arsenal fans might be watching something bigger than just a successful manager.

Arteta has changed. Arsenal has changed. And the ceiling now feels very different.

But the most interesting part? He may still be getting better.

I’ve been thinking about where this version of Arteta could take Arsenal next. 👀
