The American High School Academy and the American Center for Aviation Innovation, Inc. is developing a Floating STEM Lab to expand that learning onto South Florida’s waterways.

The Academy is a 2025–2026 Everglades Champion School, and the lab would support water-quality testing, pollution monitoring, cleanups and student engineering projects across Biscayne Bay and connected waterways.

In order to make the STEM Lab happen, they need a compatible 150–200 HP outboard, with a 200 HP maximum, for their already donated approximately 21-foot Sea Fox. Equipment donations, installation support or financial sponsorship would help move the project forward.

Help Miami youth learn marine science and practical technical skills! The STEM Lab needs compatible outboard support, useful marine equipment and skilled volunteer help. Explore the project at amcai.org/campaigns/ and contact admin@amcai.org.

MarineMax agrees to $1.5B all-cash sale

MarineMax, Inc. and Blackstone’s Safe Harbor Marinas announced they have entered into a definitive agreement, under which Safe Harbor will acquire all issued and outstanding shares of common stock of MarineMax for $53.00 per share in cash. The all-cash transaction represents an enterprise value of approximately $1.5 billion.
