TODAY IS INDIGENOUS PEOPLES’ DAY. ❤️

Long before there was a Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach or Torrance, this land was home to Indigenous peoples whose history, culture and connection to the land go back thousands of years.

Here in the South Bay, we recognize the Tongva people, whose ancestral lands include much of the Los Angeles Basin and our coastline.

Their history is not just part of our past. Their communities, traditions and contributions continue today.

At Hoffman Murphy, we talk a lot about loving where we live, protecting our environment and giving back to the community.

That also means understanding and respecting the people who cared for this land long before our cities and neighborhoods existed.

Today is an opportunity to listen, learn and honor the Indigenous peoples who have shaped California — and continue to do so.
