This is a beautiful video about Luton town, hometown of Andrew Tate, and a regular focus of Stephen Yaxley-Lennon aka Tommy Dickhead.

People are really struggling right now, and the Far Right are offering a clear and simple alternative. This current Labour government have done nothing to address the ever increasing divide between the richest and the poorest in society. Young people are vulnerable to grooming by Tate, Yaxley-Lennon and the absolute toad that is Katie Hopkins because they look around and they cant see any hope for their futures. These grifters are offering an alternative to people that feels within their reach, whilst simultaneously getting fat off their billionaire funders.

We have to stop belittling people falling prey to the far right and approach conversations with genuine understanding and care. We all hold the views that we have because of the education we have been privileged to access, not because of an innate superiority. Nothings going to change if we keep shouting at each other across the void, and while we continue to do so, its only the most vulnerable people that will continue to suffer.

Cambridge University remains complicit in the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza. We spotted University staff who joined the protest at senate house, not to stand for morality but to intimidate students by taking photos and recording their details in a little stupid notebook. The university are spending thousands of pounds on injunctions to move Palestine Protestors from their lawns, so it can avoid carrying out divestment that it had agreed to. It’s soul destroying, watching horrors recorded on phones and shared on social media accounts of people, of families, just like us. The gut wrenching pain of watching children with limbs torn or burned off, children sobbing over the murder of their entire family, left alone to mourn the loss of their whole world. Hearing the cries & pleas of a young girl, Hind Rajab, trapped in a car for hours, surrounded by the bodies of her dead relatives, begging for someone to help her, until eventually Occupation Forces gun her to death alongside every single one of the people inside the ambulance that is sent to save her.
It is incomprehensible that, at the start of this “conflict”, people would not believe that Israel would deliberately bomb a hospital, and tried to blame misfired rockets set off by Hamas from “inside the hospital”. This claim was proved almost certainly false, that Israel were responsible for the attack, but the outrage didnt come. We became so desensitised to war crimes that when, on 13th April, the final hospital in Gaza was bombed out of operation, not a single concern was raised.
It is painful to watch the starvation set in as aid trucks are blocked from entering the area for more than 50 days. The hollowing of eyes, the desperate faces. Children crying because their tummies hurt and they cant think anymore.
So we look away. Because its Just Too Painful. We placate ourselves with old adages
“Its so far away, what can I do?”
“Theres always conflict, its just how things are”.
We cling on to politicians statements that “Israel does have a right to defend herself”. As if history only began on October 7th 2023. As if the 38 Israeli children murdered in that brutal attack by Hamas justifies the 17000 Palestinian children murdered by Israel since.
And by looking away, we allow whats happening to be covered up, we allow this to carry on. We embolden those who perpetrate these crimes to act in more & more criminal ways until, before you know it, its too late and there is no one left to be saved.
But theres always something we can do. And we can start by calling it out for what it is.
Because if we can’t call it a genocide, what the fuck do we call it? My bestest ever buddy is getting married at the end of May. She also gave birth to my new best mate at the start of the year, so this was the weirdest hen doo ever. Hanging out with kids, drinking booze ❤️ from Norwich to Cromer, as the train conductor told us - “you’ll probably be annoying wherever you go”. And she wasnt wrong.
