I graciously received a promotion at @thefoundersclub and feel like we’re on an absolute rocket. I launched my substack (link in bio, shameless plug) as my new creative outlet and I am looooving writing for the first time. we’re building out our community of friends. we’re in a very very special season of life right now and I’m trying to soak it all up!

This is my husband Bobby and I wanted to celebrate him for a moment. Because Bobby would truly stop at nothing to make sure I’m happy.

As we’ve been navigating our first pregnancy together, I’ve seen how true this is. He’s stepped up as chef, emotional supporter, dog walker, cleaner, my #1 advocator and so much more.

When I’m at 10%, he picks up the other 90.

Marrying Bobby has healed so many parts of me. I can’t wait for our son to have a dad like him. 🤍

The most nerve wracking and exciting day of my life was the day I not only found out I was pregnant, but ALSO surprised my husband with the news!

I had previously told Bobby I wasn’t going to take a pregnancy test till a week later. My dad was coming into town the next day, so I pretended like I didn’t want to take a test before he arrived in case it was bad news.

But in reality, I had this day planned a month in advance - that’s just who I am!! Haha

I figured out the earliest time I could take a pregnancy test - which was incredibly risky - and took one at 5 am that morning on my own.

While Bobby was still asleep, I discovered the biggest news imaginable… and then proceeded to spend the day putting together a big surprise for him.

I’d already booked a baker to make us a custom “we’re having a baby cake” AND hired a photographer to capture the moment I told B he was going to be a DAD!!

Yes, both those things were insane to do before I even knew if I was pregnant or not. I joke that I was setting myself up for either the best day ever, or the absolute worst.

But you know what they say about a woman’s intuition…

SO, we headed off to a picnic that I’d been talking to Bobby about doing that entire week, where I knew I’d surprise him (but he sure didn’t!!).

Keeping the news a secret, even if it was just for one day, was crazyyyyyy - I was actually about to explode lol.

Will forever look back on this video and feel so overwhelmed with joy.

SURPRISE BOBBY!!

Building fitness into my day like this has helped make it a nonnegotiable to get it done. Most of the time I do NOT want to do it but every single time I finish I’m so glad that I did.
