The Queen is in Heaven ❤️

Early yesterday morning my grandma passed away, and walked right into Heaven.

The night before her last I got to sleep in her bed with her and hold her hand all night long. It’s something I really will cherish forever.

Grandma wasn’t like other granny’s. She was fast paced, always dressed up, iconic, timeless and classy. She truly was the queen.

She always smelled nice, her hair and nails done, lipstick with her at all times...she gave me fashion advice, let me wear all of her expensive jewelry for high school dances, decorated my room and homes with me, and loved that we were divas together.

She was also a cowgirl at heart. Knew how to work hard, or who to hire to do it. A business woman that loved her ranch so much.

She drove fast. Believed diamonds belonged on everything and animal print was a neutral. She was extremely giving of everything she had, and she spoiled me greatly.

Life won’t be feel same without her here on earth, but at the end it felt so selfish to hope she would just stay a little longer. She knew where she was going and was letting God know she was good and ready to get there.

She lived life in the fast lane.

I’ll miss feeling like a genius any time I fixed something for you on your computer grandma. I’ll miss you calling me boobie, or sending me to wal mart with your grocery list, I’ll miss watching westerns with you, and I love Lucy reruns with the pillow named “George” in between us all night. I’ll miss saying “I love you, and you saying I love you more.” I’ll miss your laugh, and sense of humor. I’ll miss our inside jokes. Your erase-able pens, crossword puzzles, white zinfandale, and playing cards. Even when you wouldn’t let us go to bed until 2 am until you won at UNO.

You were honestly the best grandma a girl could ever ask for.

To be named after you and have you as a best friend was an honor grandma. I promise to keep giving our name, Bobbi, the legacy you left classy, timeless, witty, and bold, quick, and God fearing.

I’m one day closer to seeing you in Heaven ❤️ miss you already...like crazy. taken in Oregon by @bobbidurand

a simple classic wedding with a few of our family and friends. A little dinner party to celebrate a new beginning. Thank you so much for all of the love, support, and prayers. It was a labor of love to make last night happen. We kept it smaller and intimate 🤍 and had the best time!

One week…
.
.
.
it’s only been one week since I lost my dad to a short battle with cancer. It’s one week closer to Heaven and getting to see him again happy and whole.
.
Losing a parent is a grief and a pain I just can’t describe. He loved me first. He held me first. He fought for me, taught me, corrected me, and sacrificed more for me than I’ll ever even know.
.
My dad was always up for my tea parties, playing with my dolls, riding every roller coaster, coaching my sports, teaching me to keep my eye on the ball, and so much more.
He taught me to work hard and always have a plan. He’s where I get most of my “ideas”.
.
My dad loved kids. He wanted every kid to have a dad or at least father figure in their lives. Whether it was his students he taught, the ones he coached, or me at home. He had a servant heart, and made sure the environment around him was clean and orderly. I don’t even think he knew the impact he had on others lives.
.
I’ll miss him more than words can describe. We were a few weeks short of 32 exact years spent together. I’ll miss you every day papa. I’ll keep swinging at the high ones, I’ll miss your words of wisdom, and I promise to stay safe.
.
Until I get to hug you again.

2022 the year of mourning AND dancing…
.
NYE. This year was a year for mourning AND dancing. It was the first year of grief after losing my dad, but it was my first year of an amazing marriage. It was the year we made the move back across the country to Oregon, yes if you haven’t heard I’m back!
.
To be honest it took everything in me to get out of bed most days this year. The numbness I felt after losing a parent was debilitating. The realization that I had to be careful with who I let in my inner circle, and the boundaries that I had let slide was a little bit of a blow this year.
.
But, the excitement I feel for a new year is thick all around me. It will have its challenges, because we aren’t promised a life without trials. God has been faithful in 2022. He’s held me, made a way, He’s heard my cries, and sat with me in the deafening silence. He moved us into a new space at the end of this year so we could begin the next chapter fresh.
.
This next year I honestly have made big goals, I have set back up those boundaries that protect my health. I will continue to grieve, because damn I miss my dad. I will be starting new things, I will be taking leaps of faith, and I will be taking time to rest and not feel like a visitor in my own body.
.
2022 thanks for the space to be messy. 2023 let’s go.

RV updates 👀
.
.
.
I want to share more of our RV updates on here. It’s a work in progress to say the least 😅, but little by little ‘Mick’ the RV is looking more like home!
𝑫𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝒕𝒐𝒐 𝒄𝒍𝒐𝒔𝒆, because the floors are covered in paint splatters…they are next on the reno to do list!
.
I will always be so grateful for this RV we get to call home for this season! It’s been so fun learning how different things work (a black tank 🙃, 12 volt lightbulbs, shark bite water stopper thing-a-mjigs)!
.
I now definitely see why people renovate BEFORE they move in, but that wasn’t an option so we’re workin with what we got!
.
Would you be interested in seeing more RV updates? Or nah 🙃

I haven’t felt like myself lately…
.
.
.
2021 really took it the the heck right outta me. I am feeling all the things. Grief (losing a parent and grandparent), intense waves of emotion from walking my dad through his cancer journey and holding his hand on into heaven,… but also joy because I got married and had my dream small intimate wedding party ✨
.
Last year I laid it all out. I didn’t sleep much. I didn’t think straight a lot of the time. I went from one wave to to the next. I forgot everything. I was in such a fog, but also focused on the task at hand.
.
A friend of mine on IG (@forevermorelivingco 🤎) talked a while ago about “life quakes”… and oh boy did that hit close to home. I can most definitely list them moments in my 32 years that brought me to my knees, laying on the bathroom floor, or any ground in general tbh… because for me that’s therapy sometimes. Laying on the ground.
.
2021 was a massive life quake for me. It was my ultimate fear to lose one of my parents. I was pretty worried about it growing up, and as an only child I didn’t really have anyone to talk to about it with. Like, a sibling to understand how it would feel to lose that. And, even now there is a loneliness. Feelings I alone (and God) understand.
.
He (God) and I are working out some pretty hard stuff right about now. The ringing in my ears from the shock of it actually all happening is beginning to get quieter, but … with that comes the pain. The gasping for air that this is reality. This quake happened, and life is going on.
.
So that’s me. That’s my update. I’m living each day one minute at a time. Crying, laughing, staring at the wall in a towel, laying on the ground, having fun, miserable, joyful, loving life, questioning, and everything in between. God is loving me and holding me through it all. 🤎
.
Thanks to everyone who has loved me deeply these last months. I am behind on thank you notes, texts, calls. All the things. Adjusting to being back in Florida, and LOVING being married to Curtis 🤎🥲 there really was a time for mourning and a time for dancing in 2021… and I’m grateful for both.
.

Happy One year 🤎

Yesterday, June 12th was one year ago that this guy said he’d like to get to know me better. After being eaten alive outside by mosquitos in Florida… we got in my car, and talked for hours. I was nervous, and came up will a million reasons as to why it wouldn’t work.

This exact day, June 12, 2016, … five years earlier, was the moment that I found out for the second time that there was infidelity in my previous marriage.

I remember that moment I stood at the window of my bedroom in Washington…I felt so sick to my stomach. Finding conversations that confirmed what I already feared. I was already so broken from the first time three years before, and all the other acts of betrayal. Now this. Again.

June 12, 2016… I called my best friend, she drove four hours to take me to a hotel in Seattle. My house wasn’t safe.

We went to a hotel where I wrote all I could muster up to God on the stationary they had in the room. Why? Give me peace. Heal me.

The next eight months included many more journal entries crying out to the Lord. Ultimately that marriage ended in a very nasty divorce, but those pages of entries are things I hold onto. To remind me that God sees every detail. He didn’t leave me in a marriage that … really wasn’t a marriage at all. He heard my desperate cries. He saw when I could only write a few words on hotel stationary. He held me on the bathroom floor. He carried me through it all.

The last five years I have healed. I have fought. I have been made new. There are so many areas God has redeemed. More than I can even count, or recall. June, 12, 2020 … He did it again. To the very day that I didn’t know how I would make it through…Five years later I began a new relationship that has taught me real love, Godly love. Fought for. And cherished. I’m so glad I didn’t ultimately let fear get in the way.

I’m so thankful for June 12th.

I debated what to share, and most already knew. I never want the details of that time to draw attention away from what God did. He will answer your prayers above and beyond your wildest dreams.

I needed this reminder of God’s goodness yesterday. Maybe you did too. 🤎 by @bobbidurand

Tiny living 🪴it’s the best.

S W I P E to see where it started 🤎

Just a few pictures of me attempting to remodel a small space, and by me I mean ... @curtis_kunselman33 doing the heavy lifting, and bringing my ideas to life 🤎

A small corner of Mick the fifth wheel that I am currently living in on the @ywamorlando campus in Florida ☀️

This is the first of many projects to come and things to figure out, but I’m loving it 🤎 if your bathroom sink has to be in your bedroom it might as well be pretty 😅🪴 taken in Florida by @bobbidurand

No, this isn’t where I’m sitting currently...🤎
.
.
.
But, it WAS my view a little over a week ago last Monday. Looks like a good Monday right 😏?

Just thought I’d stop in to say hi 👋🏼
it’s been a while since I have post anything to my IG feed.

•Currently in a very busy season of life here in Florida ☀️

•Still renovating Mick the RV, and really wanting to document the whole process...sometimes I pinch myself to make sure this is real because of how much I love the life I get to live 🤎

•Getting more into essential oils. Taking it slowwww, and learning lots 💧

•Visiting home (Oregon) next month for a lil support raising trip! 🌲

•Holding firm to my two words of the year... stewardship and discipline. Growing in these areas so much with The Lord. Super thankful for these lessons 🪴

•also, haha a not so fun part...putting back up some boundaries that I let slide in 2020. It’s a learning curve for me, but seeing the difference in my joy level when I have personal healthy boundaries and not.... 😅 makes a huge difference.
.

.
Overall I’m doing great ✌🏼again, super thankful for this wild life I get the honor of living. The views like this one I get to take in, and the wisdom I’m gaining along the way 🤎 taken in Florida by @bobbidurand
