Raku rock vase. More of a planter, I think. My cat ate the plants out of it. #ceramics #handbuiltceramics #raku taken in San Jose, California by @bobby_the_potter

I think I’m going to put my shino pieces up for sale at work. But if you want one it’s gonna cost you! No one loves my work more than me and I want to keep it all.

I wrote a poem. I’m not just a gym rat that can pull a cylinder, y’know. 😘

I didn’t record this with the intention of posting it.

But then I thought it was funny that you could hear @preston.k.nguyen and @matthoogs teasing me and how long it took me to realize.

Plus look at how good my arms and back look! Ye gods! Is this what everyone sees while I’m running around doing stuff? No wonder they all hate me. I’m gorgeous!

I had already been at it for a good five minutes. After this I went and got a different axe and kept at it for another five. Never got through the log though.

Pottery is fun! And eucalyptus is goddamn hard.

Like I always say: All things are as Cthulhu wills them.
No attachment, everything dies, don’t chase mistakes. This is ceramics. Now back to work, sucker!
I’m gonna start posting more.

OMG not the recycling waiting to be taken out in the background!

Practice, practice. Trimming is so satisfying. Especially when the tools are sharp and the clay is the perfect stiffness. Still trying to find the right angle for this. The one where I trimmed the foot was… Not good.

Hi! I’m Bobby. Rolling the rim over is my favorite thing to do. Sometimes I close it up, sometimes I don’t. Almond Joy’s got nuts, Mounds don’t.
Anyway. I’ll remember to speak up next time.
I’m getting back into practice. LFG.
The clay is Big Sur from @clayplanet
I really have no idea what I’m doing so I’m just kinda gonna do whatever.
