Jesus Christ.

Kids being sick has got to be the worst thing in the world. I can’t cope. (Yes perspective etc) but honestly nothing and I mean nothing spirals me more.

If I shared my Google search history I would be sedated.

It’s ok. And it’s also ok when it’s not.

There is a loneliness in motherhood that is difficult to explain, because you are almost never alone.

There is always a small body searching for yours. A hand reaching for yours. A voice calling your name from another room. Someone needing something. Your body becomes a place everyone else lives in.

And somehow, in all that closeness, you can feel completely unseen.

Sometimes motherhood is being the safe space for everyone else but not knowing how to find yours.

It’s also knowing and doing all this and also never wanting to change a thing.

Sometimes you just need to watch just one single episode of RHONY completely uninterrupted and not explain why. by @bobbyclark____

Our wild, funny beautiful boy turned two.

Two years of those mismatched eyes. One brown, one blue. You have my unwavering stubbornness, your dad’s beaming white smile and your brother’s triangle of freckles across your nose. You came out larger than life (literally you were fucking huge) and have loved and laughed your way through your and our life.

You love everyone just as much and everyone loves you. A smile for everybody and every dog, you can’t read signals if dogs or people aren’t into your generous love and I hope you never lose that. Forcing happiness and affection on people is my favourite thing about you.

But watch your bums, he’s a biter!

I love nothing more than having a house full of all the people we love. Chaos up and down the hall, cake stomped on carpets, pen up the walls. I couldn’t be happier.

Happy two my little nudie kewpie doll.

Sorry you got my frizzy curls. I promise to never hurt you brushing out ringlets.
