⚠️Birthday post⚠️ILY🫰✨
Don’t count yourself out! A year ago I bought a house in another state in the continental USA. I had kind of resigned to the idea of being alone. It sounds very dramatic, I understand. Regardless it was very real to me and I planned to live very far out of reach in the desert to the end of days. It was there where I thought I might find peace. I just had one thing left to do and that was go back to Ohio to have my 50th birthday. I was overwhelmed w who showed up and out. One of the people that showed up was a longtime friend and drinking buddy from my home town, Gayle Markovich. I always loved Gayle. Where do I even start? When we were in our early twenties our friend group would go west Market Street’s The Bucket Shop™️ (RIP) to go dancing except out of our friend group very few of us actually danced (tough guys lol). So despite us both dating other people we would often find ourselves dancing together. Now if you can imagine… put a bookmark in this story book for a sec… or 25 plus years… lol… we had kept up w each other but… Gayle got married, had 3 amazing kids (I mean this w my whole heart) and had recently got divorced. When she told me a year ago to this day, I almost asked her to marry me on the spot at my birthday party. lol. But… I didn’t… I played it cool for 10 weeks (until I got a kiss!) of hanging out each weekend from Columbus to Akron. I had decided to stick around by request of both her and her kids.✨ *been together ever since* moved into their house 6 months ago!* This is of course the short version of the story but the rest is history (as they say). We are both very happy and we both agree we have never had a year go by so fast 💨. Gayle is by far the best person or thing that could have happened to me and her family (having never dated anyone w a kid), is the best thing I never knew I wanted. Now I cannot imagine life without them. Beyond my wildest dreams of what I would want or expect from this life. I can honestly say w no sarcasm I am living the dream. I love you all and thank you for supporting me if you do. If you don’t support me thank you for making life easier to navigate. Love rules all and always will. 🫰 taken in Akron, Ohio by @bobbysilver

Thanks to all who wished me happy birthday or who came to the bar for the 2 day birthday celebration 🥴🫶. I had been fairly sober b4 then. Gonna return to not drinking while my party spirit is still intact. Again, thank you Columbus and Akron homies for showing up. I’m 50!

Here are 2 more #lildebbies #lildebs #lildebbie #lildeb. As in… very small graphite drawings of #debbieharry on hot press water color paper. Quarter for scale. They are among the smallest of the bunch. These are where I started experimenting going outside the frame. It’s a different approach that really helped out the series. Who says everything has to be in frame?! Let’s get crazy. You know you have studied a series long enough when you start to change your approach. When you mess with elements or turn your head and look at the idea a different way… as almost to say WTF was I even doing b4. It might be unnoticeable to the viewer but to the artist a subtle shift can be huge revelation to the series. These shifts kinda keep you going bc it’s new energy. New approach.
I love to draw. It’s one of my first memories. My brother taught me how to draw faces when I was a tot. Some things never change. Drawing teacher in high school was @addislaura @ccadedu College drawing professor Lowell Tolstedt and Anita Dawson. Much love, again thank you. Like, dislike, share, comment… please.

Happy Birthday Bob Silver! 5-0. Good game. So tired! So achy. But I love my life. Couple recent happy pics from in between naps. lol.

Thanks to all my friends, family, ex-girlfriends, ex-wives, employees, ex-employees, artists, yoga peeps, rap tour friends, DJ’s, ex-bosses, old employers, ex-band members, friends who passed (ILY), friends parents, coaches, teachers. We made it.

Gonna keep it short, (Columbus) I’m the luckiest guy I know (still). Can’t think of many people that benefits more than myself from living in Columbus, Ohio (no contest, it’s how I feel, I am not from here). In every way. Thanks for being a smart city and being a good to me. Making me a better version than when I got here. Love affair continues…

Akron/Copley: they don’t let you leave unless you KNOW your ass ain’t better than no one else for ANY reason (whatsoever). Everyone put in work! Thank you. I had everything I needed at 18. Fully prepped for the world. Thank you. No excuses.
