Thank you for such a beautiful residency. Your work is gorgeous, and seeing through your eyes and how you put it to canvas the places you’ve seen. The ways they spoke to you & translated into your pieces was moving.

Thank you for trusting us with your work and allowing us to curate the space around your story. Each section took us on a journey through your memories and emotions. You truly made me feel like I was right there with you, seeing these places for the first time.

Thank you again for being part of our Artist in Residence program. I look forward to seeing more of your work and where your journey takes you next.

Sincerely,
Bobby & FERN & WOLF taken in Fern & Wolf by @bobbywillis

New month, new artist! Very excited to Introduce Jae Seung Hancock, our September Artist in Residence at FERN & WOLF.

Opening Night:
Saturday, September 5th 6–9 pm

Jae is a multidisciplinary artist who has called Portland home for the past 10 years. Their work moves between painting, dance, and theater, drawing inspiration from the colors, textures, energy, and movement of the natural world.

I’m excited to see Jae’s work take over the space this September. Come meet the artist, experience the work, and spend some time with us at FERN & WOLF.

Process - I appreciate the moments when form and expectation begins to dissolve and something beautifully unexpected surfaces.

This painting has gone through major transformation and has allowed me to question what belongs and what can be shed (or in this case, painted over 10 times).

Come see ‘The Great Ocean Road at Sunset’ and 16 other paintings at @fernwolfpdx during the month of September. Opening reception is next Saturday 9/5 from 6-9pm! taken in Fern & Wolf by @bobbywillis

Final week of Jennifer McKay’s Artist Residency at FERN & WOLF.

Come in, slow down, relax in the space and spend some time with the collection. If something speaks to you, support the artist and take it home.

Just like summer, the days are fleeting. The walls will be changing soon, making room for what’s next.

Come experience Jennifer’s work while it’s still on the walls as a collection.
