“It wasn’t my first street rail, but it was definitely the longest one I’d ever tried.

When Kalléo showed me the spot, I actually thought, “Maybe I can do this...” even though I was completely terrified, haha.

I hate rails. They scare me so much.

But I really wanted to push myself, and I knew I’d regret it if I didn’t at least try.

Landing it made me realize that maybe I can do more than I think.

I just need to believe in myself a little more.”

Why did you call the video UTOPIA?

Veronica:
”I called the video UTOPIA because I just love how the word sounds. But it also ended up being the perfect way to describe how these trips felt.

Every time we went away to skate, it honestly felt like stepping into another world. I know a perfect place doesn’t really exist—that’s literally what a utopia is, haha—but somehow, every trip felt exactly like that.

The spots, the people, the sessions... everything just came together and felt almost surreal.

I know it wasn’t actually perfect, but in those moments it really felt like it was. I guess that’s why UTOPIA felt like the right name.

It’s not about finding a perfect place—it was about sharing those moments with my friends, and for a little while, it felt like we had.”

How is your feeling to have your first street video?

Veronica:
”It’s honestly insane, haha. I never thought I’d actually make a street video like this.

I mean... I definitely dreamed about it, but I never really thought I could actually do it.

I’m so, so happy. This whole project got me so hyped, and it still doesn’t feel real.

I honestly can’t believe this is my first street video.”

When you watch UTOPIA back, what’s the first thing that comes to your mind?

Veronica:
“I honestly don’t know, haha. I’m just really emotional and proud of myself because I never thought I’d actually do something like this. Making it was so emotional, and watching it back was too.

At the same time, I’m super critical of myself, haha. There are so many things I alrea taken in Lisboa, Portugal by @bobik_lee
