For three days, Paris became the meeting point for the people and ideas shaping the future of hospitality at The50 Best Hotels.

As Official Bespoke Pre-Mixed Cocktail Partner, Bocktailed brought its approach to tailor-made drinking experiences to the celebrations, serving cocktails created to match each setting with precision, consistency and character.

At the heart of the Awards Night, we had the honour of presenting The Best Hotel in South America 2026 award to Rosewood São Paulo, which also secured the No.6 position in the global ranking.

A remarkable achievement for a hotel that brings together Brazilian culture, contemporary creativity and a distinctive vision of hospitality.

Rosewood São Paulo in São Paulo is named The Best Hotel in South America 2026, sponsored by Bocktailed.

Rosewood São Paulo brings a distinctly contemporary energy to Cidade Matarazzo, a restored complex of early 20th-century buildings in the heart of the city. Opened in 2022, the property spans 160 guestrooms and 100 private residences and suites, set across the historic site and a Jean Nouvel-designed garden tower inspired by Brazil’s Atlantic Forest. The hotel is an art-filled urban retreat, with a rooftop infinity pool, expansive spa and six restaurants and bars adding to the buzz.

Art is a major part of the experience, with 450 site-specific works created in collaboration with 57 Brazilian artists. Inside, interiors combine warm woods, earthy tones and tactile fabrics, while standout pieces include the striking ceiling of jazz bar Rabo di Galo. For a stay with serious space, the 900-square-metre penthouse sleeps eight and comes with a rainforest-inspired garden, oversized marble bathtub and infinity pool overlooking the city.

Sustainability is woven into the wider Cidade Matarazzo development, Brazil’s largest upcycling project. The complex uses 100% locally sourced materials, while its biophilic design supports a biodiversity programme focused on restoring indigenous flora and fauna. At the hotel, 250 trees rise from the Mata Atlântica Tower, alongside a renewable energy plan and an in-house water filtration system that supplies glass-bottled water.
