Architecture begins when a wall stops being a boundary and becomes a threshold. Light, lime-plastered textures, and the beauty of handcrafted imperfections complete the experience.

Design is not about adding more, it’s about choosing what deserves to remain.

La arquitectura empieza cuando un muro deja de ser un límite y se convierte en un umbral. La luz, la textura de la cal y la imperfección de lo hecho a mano hacen el resto.

Architecture doesn’t end with the walls; it continues through every object that inhabits them.

At Bodega Blanch, materiality engages in a quiet dialogue with light, the volcanic landscape, and the memory of a historic winery. In collaboration with Invento, stainless steel becomes a calm architectural presence—an object that feels as though it has always belonged there, where function, art, and proportion exist in perfect balance.

Design is the art of removing everything unnecessary until only the essential remains.

La arquitectura no termina en los muros; continúa en cada objeto que los habita.

En Bodega Blanch, la materia dialoga con la luz, el paisaje volcánico y la memoria de una antigua bodega. En colaboración con Invento, el acero se transforma en una presencia serena: una pieza de precisión que parece emerger de la propia arquitectura, donde función, arte y proporción encuentran un equilibrio silencioso.

Diseñar es eliminar el ruido hasta que solo permanezca la esencia.

La Geria taught us centuries ago that cultivating vines is also a way of shaping the landscape.

Every volcanic stone wall, every limewashed surface and every vine tells the story of a culture that transformed scarce water, wind and volcanic ash into a living heritage. At Bodega Blanch, our architecture does not seek to write a new story, but to reveal the one that has always been here.

Because preserving a place also means preserving the memory of the wine that gave it its identity.

La Geria nos enseñó hace siglos que cultivar la vid también era una forma de construir el paisaje.

Cada zoco de piedra, cada muro de cal y cada cepa cuentan la historia de una cultura que convirtió la escasez de agua, el viento y la ceniza volcánica en un patrimonio vivo. En Bodega Blanch, nuestra arquitectura no pretende añadir una nueva historia, sino revelar la que siempre estuvo aquí.

Porque conservar un lugar también es preservar la memoria del vino que le dio sentido.

Once used to store wine, these historic tanks have been carefully preserved as part of the building’s identity. Rather than erasing their past, we chose to reveal it—allowing history, craftsmanship and contemporary design to coexist in quiet balance.

Antiguos depósitos de vino, hoy integrados como parte esencial de la arquitectura. En lugar de ocultar su pasado, decidimos conservarlos y ponerlos en valor, permitiendo que la historia, el oficio y el diseño contemporáneo convivan en un mismo espacio.
