Patang | Antariya.
The Patang top takes its structured, geometric silhouette from the point and folds of a kite, the same folding, the same four corners we used to tuck and open in the tippy tippy top games as kids. With buttons and folds running through the garment, the fabric settles into itself with wear.
The Antariya pants are designed around everyday Indian household practices, handcrafted in-house from repurposed pure silk sarees and saree borders. One shaped by the language of flight, the other by the rhythm of the everyday.
Together they form a reminder that nothing at Bodements is ever without its own history. by @bodements_

Patang takes us back to a form that feels almost innate, the kite. Its pointed shape, four corners and deliberate folds became the starting point for the top, unfolding and coming together much like the kites we grew up making and flying.
What we love about it is the familiarity of the form. Something rooted in childhood, play and a very familiar part of our cultural memory, translated into something entirely wearable. The nostalgia is there, but so is the newness.

The Antariya pants, made using silk sarees and saree borders, carry forward something older women always knew; how to tuck and fold a saree with an instinct that never needed teaching. These pants carry that same instinct, with asymmetrical tucks and folds pinned at varying levels. Our goal, simply, is to look at that tradition through a modern lens and let it breathe a little differently.

A garment doesn’t stop being considered once the front is done. In fact, for us, some of our most deliberate details happen in the back, somewhere you least expect them to be.
A corset held together by a single dori. Panels cut in a contrasting fabric. Lacing that changes the way a piece sits on the body. Open backs, crossed ties, unexpected construction, hand-finished details. These are the details that give a garment its character and, more importantly, a narrative that can so easily be overlooked in design.
Because for us, the back is not an afterthought to the design. It is part of the design itself. by @bodements_

There’s something about clothes with a past that makes them feel a little more personal.

The colour, the texture, the little imperfections, the memory of where they came from. We love how @bodements_ doesn’t try to erase any of that, but gives old Indian textiles another life through contemporary clothing. @dibzoo

Priyanka knew exactly what she wanted the final look to be, and trusted us with her mother’s saree to reimagine it into her wedding outfit. The two-piece came together through a lot of considered decisions and precision, from using the saree’s delicate borders for the corset to keeping the skirt simple and letting it take centre stage.
There was a certain ease to the process, from start to finish, And perhaps that’s what we love about customisations like these, when the vision is so personal, every decision naturally means something.
