@jaynokmodernthai just got recommended by the Michelin Guide. 🇹🇭⭐️

They take inspiration from Thai street food and give it a modern twist, and I really enjoyed seeing how they reworked familiar Thai flavours into something a little different.

The dishes are generous and meant for sharing, which I especially like about Thai dining. Food is such a big part of bringing people together, and ordering a few dishes for the table makes the whole meal feel more social.

Their Pad See Ew uses beef short rib, which gives the dish a richer and more substantial bite than the usual version. 🥩🍜

Their platters were probably one of my favourite parts because they make the meal a little more interactive. Even the curry comes with all the sides, so you can put together your own noodles and play around with different combinations.

We also tried a few of their mocktails. They were colourful, refreshing, and honestly just really pretty sitting on the table. 🍹✨

I like that Jay Nok keeps the Thai flavours recognizable while adding its own creative touches. The food feels elevated without making it overly complicated.

Definitely a fun spot to check out if you want to try a different take on Thai food.

Yesterday was a pretty special day for us.

We’re very excited to share that Jay Nok
Modern Thai has been named one of Vancouver’s new MICHELIN Guide Recommended restaurants for 2026.

This recognition means so much to our entire team.

Jay Nok has always been about sharing the food, flavours, and warmth of Thailand, while creating a space where people can come together, enjoy a great meal, and feel at home.

To our amazing team, thank you for the care, passion, and heart you put into everything you do. And to every guest who has walked through our doors, supported us, recommended us, and shared a meal with us, thank you for being part of this journey.

We’re incredibly grateful for this moment and even more excited for what’s ahead.

Congratulations @jaynokmodernthai & @chef_nok for making to the Michelin Recommended List of resturant to visit 2026 and honestly I wish I know about this place earlier.

Some of their famous must-try dishes include the Pad See Ew, Crying Tiger Steak, Oxtail Green Curry, Khao Soi, Pad Thai Chao Wang and Nong Khai Chicken Wings

My personal favourites?
🦑 Deep-Fried Squid** — so crispy and flavourful
🥩 Tiger Steak— cooked so nicely..super tender and juicy
🍜 Pad See Ew — one of my must-orders..they wokhey is so nice and those short ribs are stacked
🍰 Pandan Cheesecake — such a good way to finish..super rich and creamy
🍹 all of their mocktails are SO tasty too!

Big congratulations to the fam in Vancouver!! @jaynokmodernthai @bodissy9 @chef_nok getting the recognition they deserve. They've put it in alot of blood, sweat and tears and their food getting the praise it deserves.

You've seen my posts over the years and Chef Nok always delivered! Everything she's made is fire!! Sometimes literally fire.. them thai chili and spice level can be insane sometimes. 😅

But big congratulations!! If you're ever in Vancouver Canada.. I 100% recommend you visit this spot.
