One of the best compliments that I ever received was meant as an insult. When I opened up my Powerhouse Gym in Atlanta Georgia, someone said what are you trying to do ..be like big Steve… They meant it as a negative jab. Little did they know I took it as the biggest compliment! Since 1988 I have not had a fitness industry experience without my big brother. Can you believe for 40 years? He got up every single day to open up a facility that gave everyone a chance to find themselves and to be themselves! Bev & Steve I am forever grateful! Happy 40th by @bodtv

I had the honor of being introduced to bodybuilding while breakdancing in an aerobic room in the mid 80s.

In that room? A man practicing his posing.

Russ Testo

Fast forward to the 2020s — I got the opportunity to bring Russ to the Olympia . A full-circle moment of gratitude and respect.

Then, in walks Jimmy Mentis — IFBB Pro and founder of BeautyFit Inc.

Jimmy sees Jamal with Russ and jokes:
"I'm a bigger Russ Testo fan than YOU, Jamal."🤨

All in good sport. Friendly rivalry. Legends respecting legends.🙏🏾

Two men. One icon. Decades of influence.
