I ALMOST GOT TAKEN OUT BY A ROOSTER 🐓�
Just another peaceful day on the farm… until my rooster decided he had a personal problem with me. 🐓😂

And instead of helping her mother, my daughter decided to FILM the entire attack!! 🤣

Please tell me I’m not the only one being bullied by a chicken! 😭

I wrote The Porch God Promised for the woman who knows something is wrong, but keeps being told she’s crazy for feeling it.

For the woman giving her marriage 100% and still finding out he cheated, lied, or left.

For the woman wondering what she did wrong.

Betrayal is not your fault.

Your life is not over because someone chose to hurt you.

Trust your gut. Trust God. Trust that He still has a plan for your life, even when everything feels like it’s falling apart.

Because what if the thing you thought ruined your life…

was actually the beginning of something better?

What if him leaving was one of the best things that ever happened to you?

I wrote this book so women would know there is life after betrayal. There is peace. There is love. There is purpose. And God can still write a beautiful ending.

A Little Wisdom We Could All Use 🤍

These are some of my favorite verses I’ve marked in Proverbs. I wanted to share them because they help me check my own heart, choose my words carefully, and trust God with what I can’t control. Maybe they’ll encourage you, too.

Imagine how much better our world would be if we all lived with more honesty, humility, kindness, and forgiveness—including me.

Swipe through and take what you need today. We don’t have to have the last word. We can do what is right and leave the final judgment with God. 🤍

Divorced for over 18 years. Happily remarried for 16. And my family is still asking to be left alone.

Before you say, “Just block the number,” please hear me out.

Sometimes unwanted contact comes from a former spouse’s family. It reaches your adult children, their spouses and significant others, your mother—even your workplace.

We’ve blocked numbers. Police have asked for the contact to stop. But different numbers and contact through other people mean blocking alone hasn’t ended it.

My boys are grown, building their own lives. They deserve to choose their relationships without pressure. As their mom, hearing what they and the people they love are receiving hurts—even when the messages aren’t coming directly to me.

People may wonder, “Why aren’t you over it?”

I have moved forward. The unwanted contact is still happening.

My faith has carried me through this. I take forgiveness seriously. But receiving articles telling us to forgive doesn’t rebuild trust or mean we must allow contact again.

You can forgive and still set boundaries. You can pray for someone and keep your distance.

I’ve had wonderful parents, a loving husband, and community support. I think about women who don’t have that. A support group is still on my heart, though I haven’t started one yet. That’s why I’m opening up: I want other women to feel less alone.

God had a better ending!!!!!! Sometimes the chapter that breaks you is the one God uses to rewrite your entire story.

My first husband left me, and at the time I thought my life was falling apart. I had no idea God was leading me toward restoration, love, and the life I prayed for.
