🇪🇹 These paintings on hide were brought from Ethiopia to the USA in the 1960s. Considering the off square and waviness of the leather, we floated them in shadowboxes, highlighting that they are objects. #museumglass was used for ultimate clarity and UV protection to preserve the stunning colors. #paintonleather #ethiopia #art taken in Boerum Frames LTD. by @boerumframes

#ketubah is a traditional Jewish marriage contract. The word means “written” in Hebrew. It acts as a legal and symbolic document outlining the groom’s duties to the bride. We framed this without glass BEFORE the wedding, so it can be displayed after the signing ceremony during the reception. We will add glass after the wedding. #alexandercalder #artistedition #serigraph unfortunately this was originally framed at Michael’s and they glued the print to a shiny black matboard. We were able to carefully remove the bright orange top mat that overpowered the artwork. Same goes for the wide black frame. We replaced it with a subtle Warm White mat, added @truvueglazing #museumglass and an Ebony Walnut molding from @vermonthardwoods taken in Boerum Frames LTD. by @boerumframes
