So this play was on my bucket list for years. Saw an excellent production at the Rep here in Coachella Valley. Then I got wind a year ago that they were putting it up in Broadway again…with an impressive case of artisits! Now that I’m going to be in NY for a conference the first week of November, I thought, huh, maybe I can do it!

Nope!

Tickets are bananas! I’m starting to hate Broadway if mostly for that! 🖕🏾🖕🏾🖕🏾 by @bofield8

Pour mon dernier jour en France 🇫🇷, j’ai invité Maman et Papa et mon mari au restaurant Le Tilleul à Saint Paul de Vence.

Ils vont tous me manquer terriblement 😔😔😔 surtout Christophe 💖

À bientôt ☮️

For my last day in France 🇫🇷, I took Mom, Dad and my husband to lunch at Le Tilleul in Saint Paul de Vence.

I will miss them dearly, especially Christophe.

See you soon 🤗 taken in Restaurant Le Tilleul by @bofield8

Just saw The Invite this evening and I'm still processing it. Olivia Wilde pulls double duty — directing and starring — and the result is one of the most emotionally honest films I've seen in a while. She, Seth Rogen, Penélope Cruz, and Edward Norton form a tight, fearless ensemble, and every one of them earns their moment. Rogen and Wilde as a couple on the brink, Cruz and Norton as the neighbors who unravel them further — the chemistry between all four is electric.

The humor here is intense and deeply awkward — the kind that makes you laugh and cringe in the same breath. Rogen's character is relentlessly pessimistic, almost annoyingly so at first, but that's exactly what makes him feel so real. It rounds him out into someone you understand, even when you want to shake him.

Then there's the arguing. It's real, messy, and unflinching — the kind of fight that hits close to home if you've ever been married more than a few years. One minute you're laughing, the next you're gutted, and Wilde keeps that rollercoaster going without ever letting it feel manipulative. Just when you think it's going to spiral into bitterness, the ending lands with a tenderness that genuinely caught me off guard — I'll admit it, I teared up.

This one's not easy, but it's honest in a way that sticks with you. Any long-married couple will recognize something in it. Highly recommend, but go in ready to feel it…and laugh! by @bofield8

Just watched “The Weight” last night — and wow, what a ride. Ethan Hawke is riveting as a father driven to desperate lengths during the Depression era (and really has probably become the actor’s actor) and Russell Crowe, Julia Jones, a frustrating Austin Amelio and the rest of the ensemble bring real weight (ba-dum bump!) to every scene (and Avy Berry who totally owned her character!!). Padraic McKinley's directorial debut is confident and atmospheric, with gorgeous cinematography that makes the Oregon wilderness feel like its own character. I actually appreciated the pacing to allow me to become enveloped in the environment. But we were fully engaged from start to finish — highly recommend if you love a tense, character-driven survival story. 🎬 by @bofield8
