I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how much more there is to a local pet store than just buying dog food.

Yes, you can have a bag show up on your doorstep every 6 weeks.. But I think there’s something really nice about making the little trip into town.

Bringing your dog with you. Walking around downtown. Running into someone you know. Stopping in to say hi. Talking to the person who knows your dog, knows what they eat, and probably knows which treat they’re going to beg for before you even walk through the door.

Your dog gets an outing. You get a little human interaction. And a few of your dollars stay right here in the community.

None of that is particularly convenient or revolutionary..

It’s just… nice.

And I think the little things like this are what make a town feel like a community 🤎🐶 by @bohoandbark
