Watching this video, I marveled because how did my intro; the one I recorded before the event began go so well with speakers’ speeches.

Every single year I attend Yes You Can, either as a guest, host, or moderator; I am always jotting plenty things down and this year was no different . A gathering worth attending.

Feel free to call me a seer maybe.

Dear @igholoveth I have posted it oh 🌚🤣

Imposter syndrome is a wild thing.

When my GM offered me a promotion back in May, my very first thought was to say no. It wasn’t a lack of qualification; I just couldn’t picture myself in the seat. Being one of the youngest team members and an English presenter at a predominantly Yoruba-speaking station, the scale of the role felt terrifying. Even though I’d already served as Head of Programs overseeing 6 or 7 shows at an internet radio station, taking charge of over 20 live programs and managing the station’s presenters was a massive step up.

I asked for time to think, eventually took the leap.

Three months in... has it been stressful? 100%.

But in the best way possible. I’ve pitched, produced, monitored, drawn clear boundaries, and held my ground.

Huge thanks to my Manager, Mr. Eniola Afolabi, for guiding and pushing me through the doubt, and to the entire team for always hyping me up when I need it most.

Quite a lot of my people will be seeing/ hearing about this now, apologies —imposter syndrome had me keeping quiet for a minute! I might not know what’s next, but I know I’m going to keep bringing my A-game.

You can officially call me a Media Executive now. Imposter syndrome, shame on you! by @bolabad
