Meet Rihalyn Embers. 🌻✨

Raised to believe she was colorless, and powerless, Rihalyn is beginning to discover that the truth is far more dangerous.

Her iridescent magic is awakening.
Her sister is dead.
And the man responsible sits on the throne.

Loyal. Empathetic. Observant. Resilient.

She may still be learning how to wield her power… but she’s never been helpless. 🔪✨

Meet Kieran MacKinnion. 🖤🌒

Dark sorcerer.
The tyrant’s son.
And perhaps the most dangerous person Rihalyn could find herself drawn to.

Loyal. Mysterious. Morally grey. Strategic.

He wields the same Darkness draining color from their world, but where his loyalty truly lies is another question entirely.

Is he plotting against his father… or raising an army for him? 👀

Runyan was once overflowing with color and magic.

Now forests are turning to ash, people are losing their color, and Darkness continues to spread.

When Darkness drains your color, it takes your life with it.

&& Rihalyn’s iridescent power is awakening under the watchful eye of the color-siphoning tyrant, with the help of his son. 🌈🖤

Welcome to Wychlith 🏰✨

Where magic is beautiful, the competition is brutal, and failing a combat trial can take far more from you than a title.

Would you enter The Cage?

Because surviving the battle doesn’t mean you walk away untouched.

Rihalyn can fight, endure, and keep moving forward, but that doesn’t mean she gets to skip the grief, fear, or aftermath of everything she’s survived.

Sometimes being strong looks like putting on a dress, stepping onto the dance floor, and pretending you’re okay. 🖤

Rival kingdoms and an MMC determined to end the badass FMC’s bloodline 👀

This was hands down such a fun, epic, and amazing ARC read! There are enough twists and turns to keep you engaged and flipping to the next page.
This story kept me on my toes and caused me to lose a few hours of sleep, but it was absolutely worth it! 🖤🥰

Somewhere between the dying forest, forbidden books, and an academy filled with dangerous magic, you’ll find Wychlith.

Just be careful what finds you first. 🖤

Raven is:

* Happy-go-lucky
* Always giggling
* Able to communicate telepathically with others
* Fiercely loyal
* Stronger than she appears

She’s an animal shifter who can transform into a raven. She often carries a pair of black leather gloves in her pockets for Kieran, a close friend who’s like an older brother to her, along with a few berries tucked away too :)!

Though she’s a side character, she’s integral to the story.

Meet Rihalyn Embers ✨

She’s spent twenty years believing she was colorless + powerless.

Turns out someone went to a lot of trouble to make sure she believed it.

Now her iridescent magic is awakening, she’s been thrown into Wychlith, an academy where defeat in The Cage can cost pieces of your soul.

& the person meant to help her control her power happens to wield the same Darkness draining their world of color. 🖤🫢

So things are going well.

What would you want to know about Rihalyn next?
