Excited to be back as the MD and bass player for the second Oil City Opry. This incredible lineup of award winning musicians and songwriters will be sharing their songs and stories of harvest and the humble spirit of rural life. I’ve often said many Canadians both new and old are usually only two generations removed from their rural roots. For myself, it was my Grandfathers that both raised families off the land. Please don’t wait to get your tickets, not a huge amount left
See you all Oct 16th.

This one sucks!! I hadn’t seen Chris in a few years but his legacy on myself and so many others can’t be overstated. I was maybe 22 the first time I witnessed the magic of the snow plow. 2 years later I found myself on a bus with the guy. We became fast friends and although I hadn’t chatted with Chris in a few years, we kept in touch online, running into each other in Edmonton Or Toronto. Grab dinner, watch side stage, end up in a pit while he destroyed the biggest “4 on the floor”.

A massive hole in our Canadian music industry hearts today. Too young, too much music left for that man!! Fuck!! by @boldermusic_tarv

I could weigh in on this lake situation…. But instead, I’ll put up a fresh and bright new flag. Last years flag was getting a little faded from facing west all year. That should tell you everything you need to know. #lakeontario 🇨🇦 #bluerodeo by @boldermusic_tarv

What a whirlwind week. The garage has a roof, it doesn’t leak, I didn’t hurt myself, @amswitzer29 still likes me, and I now have a few shows to get on with. Roofing that garage was a small bit of therapy. I also really enjoyed the week with my dad!

Jon would’ve been 45 this year, crazy how we all move forward. I still think about him everyday. by @boldermusic_tarv
