We live in a generation that wants Jesus as Savior, but struggles to accept Him as Lord.

We want His promises, but resist His commandments. We want freedom, but not surrender. We want transformation, but only if it doesn’t require us to change.

But following Christ was never about bending Scripture to fit our lives. It was about surrendering our lives to the truth of Scripture.

Jesus didn’t call us to follow our hearts. He called us to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him.

The Gospel isn’t meant to affirm everything about you. It’s meant to transform you.

John 8:31-32 reminds us that abiding in His Word and knowing the truth are connected.

So ask yourself: Are you allowing God’s Word to change you, or are you changing the meaning of God’s Word to accommodate you?

The truth doesn’t change to fit us. We are called to change because of the Truth.
