12 years later, I BAGGED A DEGREE!!! 🎓 April 24, 2022 I began my SECOND CHANCE journey far from home, with no familiar faces around me. Different people, different cultures, different languages but I remained steadfast and focused. Prior to 2022, 2021 was a major setback year for me. My life flashed before my eyes, not because I didn’t know what I was doing, but because I was hungry for financial freedom and had made a few academic mistakes that ultimately cost me six years. I knew I had to find a way forward, but it wasn’t something I was ready to tell my parents. I tried to maneuver my way through it, hoping I could fix everything myself. Then, on March 3rd, 2021, I got myself into another serious situation involving an investment scheme that cost me my brand, my trust, my integrity, and most importantly, millions of Naira. At the same time, I was battling academic setbacks and serious financial allegations, going in and out of police stations, hiding indoors during the day and only moving around at night. I lived through that storm for almost a year, battling depression alone. But through it all, I’m grateful I never had a suicidal thought. Eventually, I couldn’t bear it anymore. I returned home from hiding and finally confessed everything to my parents about my academic setbacks. After summoning the courage to let it all out, I felt free. Mind you, I was literally disowned for about 8 hours 🥺before my Dad called me back the next morning to discuss the way forward because he simply couldn’t stand the thought of me not having a hard-earned degree. And that conversation eventually led me to UNITED STATES INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY-AFRICA. 🇰🇪 Today, I stand here as a graduate. 🎓 I deeply appreciate my PARENTS, my SIBLINGS, and my LOVED ones. Your love, compassion, prayers and encouragement kept me going when I could have easily given up. Against all odds, I made it. ❤️🎓🥂 Habakkuk 2:3 🙏🏽 👔: @1of1_menswear 👞: @legova_brand 💼: @house_of.mumbi 📸: @mokahstudios #USIUClassOf2026 #ClassOf2026 #ExperienceUSIU #Explorepage✨ taken in United States International University - Africa by @bollux_official
