Lustre’s Angels have entered the chat… and yeah, we didn’t come to play!

I’m not even gonna lie… getting here was not easy.

There were moments I was tired, overwhelmed, anxious… and then there were moments where I knew I was exactly where I was supposed to be.

And now it’s crazy because… it’s really here.
Tomorrow is the BIG DAY!

After all the planning, all the details, all the back and forth, all the “is this gonna come together the way I see it in my head?”…we finally get to bring it to life.

I just keep thinking about the atmosphere, the energy, the people…and I already know it’s about to be something special.

I don’t even know where to start…

Last night was everything I prayed for… and more.

To see something that lived in my head for months actually come to life, to watch people walk through it, experience it, connect with it…
that’s a feeling I can’t even fully explain.

And then to be honored as Beauty Entrepreneur of the Year… 🥹 that meant more to me than you know.
Because this didn’t come easy.
This was built on faith, long nights, figuring it out as I go, and not giving up on myself.

Last night was confirmation.

Confirmation that I’m on the right path.
Confirmation that Lustre by Melle is only getting started.
Confirmation that everything I’ve been working toward is real.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, supported, poured into me, and believed in this vision.

This was just the beginning 🤍✨

Reflecting back on April’s launch with a full heart. 💕

For everyone who’s new here, welcome to Lustre by Melle! I started this business in December, celebrated its launch in April, and somehow, here we are in October…with so much growth and so many connections to be grateful for.

This year, I learned a lot about myself. I stretched myself, stepped outside my comfort zone, and pushed my creativity in ways I hadn’t before. Along the way, I built a community that continues to encourage me to keep going.

My biggest lesson? The aesthetics are cute. The events are beautiful. But what I’m most grateful for is the community behind it all. The GENUINE connections, the people who show up online and in real life, and those who keep pouring into me with encouragement, support, and a little push when I need it.

To everyone who has purchased, shared a post, attended an event, sent a kind message, or told someone about Lustre by Melle: thank you. Every bit of it has meant something to me.

I’m grateful for what this year has taught me and even more excited for the experiences we still get to share.

And with that said… keep a little room in your December plans. Something is on the horizon, and I’d love to close out this year with the community that’s made it so special. 🫶🏾

Chef Antonio, the “face behind the taste,” put his signature on the evening with cuisine hand selected for the occasion, that was worth talking about. Proud to partner with Soirée District and Black Owned Brockton for a night celebrating community, culture, and good taste.

Three days left to apply to NextGen Business Lab! ✨

If you’re 13–19 and curious about turning an idea into something real, this is your invitation. You don’t need to have a business already. You just need to be willing to learn, build, and grow.

Our six-month program brings young people together for workshops, mentorship, community experiences, and opportunities to share what they create.

Applications are free and close September 30. Scholarships are available for the $125 enrollment fee for accepted participants.

Parents, mentors, and community members: please share this with a young person who should be in the room.

I’m deeply honored to be the featured speaker at Abington High School’s Black Excellence Gala, hosted by the Black & Brown Student Union. 🖤

This invitation is so meaningful because it comes from students creating space to celebrate Black excellence, leadership, and possibility. Knowing that a young person has been inspired by my journey reminds me of the power of representation and why it matters to keep showing up, sharing our stories, and making the path brighter for those coming behind us.

On October 8, I’ll share a message about perseverance and persistence: moving forward through challenges, believing in your vision, and showing up with courage even when you’re still figuring things out. I’ll reflect on my journey, from starting my first business to founding NextGen Business Lab, and the lessons that have helped me keep moving forward.

6 DAYS LEFT! 💕 Applications for the founding class of NextGen Business Lab close September 30th!

If you know a young person between the ages of 13–19 who has a business, has an idea they’ve been wanting to bring to life, creates products, provides a service, or simply has an entrepreneurial spirit that needs the right guidance and opportunity send this to them.

NextGen Business Lab was created to give young entrepreneurs access to the things I wish more young people had early on: business education, mentorship, hands-on learning, networking, real-world experiences, and a community of people invested in seeing them succeed.

And this is bigger than beauty. Young entrepreneurs across industries are welcome. Whether they’re interested in fashion, food, technology, beauty, content creation, photography, design, services, or something completely different, there is room for their ideas here.

Over six months, our founding class will have opportunities to learn, build, connect, pitch, showcase their businesses, and grow alongside other young entrepreneurs.

Parents, family and friends — if there’s a young person in your life who immediately came to mind while reading this, please share this with them. And if you’re interested in having your child participate and want to learn more before applying, feel free to reach out to me directly. I’m happy to answer your questions. 💗

36. 🖤

Today, I celebrate myself.

The woman I am. The woman I’ve become. And the woman I am still unfolding into.

This past year gave me so much to be grateful for. I accomplished things I once only imagined, experienced beautiful moments, stretched beyond what was familiar, and watched so many of my ideas come to life. But more than anything, I proved to myself that I can trust the woman I am becoming.

I kept showing up for myself. I followed my heart. I honored my vision. I allowed myself to dream bigger, and then I had the courage to meet those dreams with action.

At 36, I feel more grounded in who I am, more confident in what I carry, and more intentional about the life I want to create. I’m proud of myself. I’m proud of the way I love, the way I create, the way I bring people together, and the way I continue to believe that there is always more life waiting for me.

This chapter is about enjoying what I’ve built while remaining open to everything still ahead of me.

More life. More love. More memories. More joy. More beautiful surprises. More of the people, places, and experiences that make life feel full.

I’m entering 36 with a grateful heart, a clear vision, and the quiet confidence of a woman who knows she is only getting better.
