Head over Heels! Perfect song as that’s what my feelings were with feeling so ‘giddy’ a few weeks before this trip. Every mother daughter relationship is different and although we don’t have the one where we speak every single day, the bond is there and as much as I loved them as little girls, I feel like it has grown stronger as these amazing young woman. My babies the beach and the zoo - doesn’t get better than this! As a close friend said on a group chat when I included a picture of me and the girls, he said “Janet is in her happy place” ❤️. @ethylsprinkleshop, @jessparkkkkerr @sandiegozoo @nobltravel

You’re truly blessed when you have people in your life that let you shine and be your own crazy wacky self! It’s even extra special when those people are your children 😊❤️

Wildgate fun with some of our 113 Puck Eaters! 🏒🔥 Food, friends, hockey, and a little chaos… yep, these are our people! 😂

A few scratched Seattle Thunderbirds stopped to join us, and of COURSE we fed them! We’ll cheer against you once the puck drops, but first… have you eaten?! 😂🍔

Now about that picture with the tall Thunderbirds guy… before you start yelling TRAITOR, hear me out. He’s a PANTHER!! 🐆 I mean… what’s a girl supposed to do?! 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣 @flapanthers

There’s room at our table for a rival… but our hearts are still WILD! 💙💚🐺

HONK when you drive by to the arena boys! We’ll already be there cheering you on from the Wildgate Party!!!

Today I’m taking a little break from all my birthday month reflecting because today belongs to someone else…my beautiful daughter, my Sunshine. ☀️❤️

With all this thinking I’ve been doing lately about growing older, growing as a person and being more intentional with my life, it seems pretty fitting that today I get to celebrate one of the very best parts of MY life.

Jessica.

It’s kind of crazy as a mom when you think about it. One minute you’re holding this little bitty girl in your arms and somehow you blink a few times and there’s this beautiful, strong, independent WOMAN standing in front of you.

And then you wonder…how did we get here so fast??

But what a joy and privilege it is to get to watch it happen.

The little girl. The teenager. The ups and downs. The laughter. The hard stuff. The really good stuff. Our matching Sunshine tattoos. All the different versions of her that eventually became the woman she is today.

Maybe that’s another thing I’m learning about getting older. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Not all of the best milestones in our lives are about something WE accomplished.

Sometimes they’re simply getting to stand back and look at someone you love and think…

WOW. Look at you. ❤️🎉. And it’s SOOOO much fun doing so!

Jess you were my Sunshine long before Unexpected Sunshine was ever even a thought. And you still are!!

I am so proud of you. I’m proud of the woman you’ve become, I’m grateful for all the memories we already have, and I’m REALLY grateful that we still have so many more to make. The Bitch Tours until you and yours sister have to push me in a chair! 🤪

Happy 30th Birthday, Princess. ☀️❤️

No matter how old either one of us gets, you will ALWAYS be my girl.

And you will always be one of the brightest parts of my life.

I love you more than you know. XOXO

Not sure she’s a @flapanthers fan! She looks pissed that I took her off Devin’s bed to bring her down to watch the game 🤷🏼‍♀️🤪
