WE REALLY DID THAT 😭
@bombshellhotsauces took home 3rd place in the 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 at the 19th Annual Pinellas Park Pepper Fest 🌶️ for Everglades Elixir 🐊 and this was a 𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞’𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐧‼️ I’m flying HIGH on cloud 9 right now. 📺 Story Time Saturday 📺 Season 1, Episode 5: 5 Fun Facts About Me (Lacey, the lady behind @bombshellhotsauces).

1. I’m 6’ tall. For years I told everyone I was 5’11” 🤐 because saying 6 feet just felt like…Dayummm that’s a BIG bitch 😆 Now, I love it, I embrace it.
2. I could eat authentic Mexican 🇲🇽 🌮 tacos
Every. Single. Day. and never ever get tired of them.
3. I’m a natural blonde. Virgin hair. Yep, go ahead, I’ll wait. Let the jokes begin 😜
4. I’m hyper-flexible 🫥 almost contortionist level. Apparently I inherited it from my grandma (I’ll add photos to the comments/story).
5. I have the nose of a bloodhound. Blessing and curse. I can smell things before anyone else does 🤔 I always thought maybe I should find a way to monetize this talent.

📺 Story Time Saturday 📺 Season 1, Episode 4: You Can’t Want It More Than They Do

For many many years, my loved ones tried everything they could think of to save me. They took my keys, broke my phone. They had me Baker Acted. They ran my friends off, threatened lives. Sometimes they enabled me because they didn’t want me on the streets. They begged me. They cried. They got angry. They paid for treatment. They tried tough love, kindness, silent treatment. They tried controlling every situation they thought might keep me safe. And you know what? None of it worked. It wasn’t them, it was me. And it took them a long time to realize that they weren’t failing. I just wasn’t ready. No one could make me change my lifestyle. Not even Jesus Christ himself! Only I could make that decision. The last day I used dope, I woke up in jail. It wasn’t dramatically different from any other time I’d been there. It wasn’t the charges that changed me. It wasn’t some earth shattering wild epiphany moment. For the first time in my life, I was truly sick and tired of being sick and tired. Something inside of me changed. I was ready. That day taught me one of the hardest lessons I’ve ever learned: no matter how much you love someone, you cannot do the work for them. You can’t force healing or growth. You can’t force someone to make a choice you want them to make. Today, that lesson has found its way back into my life. Sometimes loving someone means stepping back, offering support without trying to control the outcome. It means trusting that life has a way of teaching lessons. One of the gifts recovery has given me is this perspective: I can love someone with my whole heart, but I can’t lose my own peace trying to save them.
You can’t want it more than they do.

Thank you @lisa_brodeur_quinter for everything you do for us and for the community 🖤 The @floridagctattooexpo was incredible from start to finish! A big big big thank you to everyone who came out, supported the artists, vendors, and performers, and showed @bombshellhotsauces so much love all weekend! Yeeehaw! There’s something super special about spending a weekend surrounded by creativity, passion, and people who Just. Get. It. I love seeing familiar faces every year, meeting new friends, and being part of such an inspiring community.
