I’d like to take a moment to thank everyone who submitted work for this show. I think this is going a fantastic evening 🖤

BONDEGI is the audio visual project of Winnipeg based musician, Chris Harder. Harder’s audio visual work draws inspiration from electronic music subcultures, experimental film, and architecture. Based on a pallette of synthesized audio / visual elements and prepared footage and field recordings, Harder uses custom software tools and a modular synthesizer system to generate, manipulate and control evolving landscapes of images and sound.

Harder has been active in the Winnipeg underground music scene since the early 1990’s having provided bass, guitar, drums and synthesizer duties to many Winnipeg bands including Projektor, HAM, Room 237, Absent Sound, Rudimental, Ponemah and others.

Philia - “Philia (Greg Hanec’s solo project) ‘Boy Elad’ - a 30 minute improvised keyboard solo piece with enhanced electronics and video by projectorPROJECT”

Rish Hanco (Reisha Hancox)
Short Title: Couch Potatoes
Runtime: 4:56
Short description of video: A collage of scenes pass over a tv screen while potatoes watch.

semiconscious

A band featuring acoustic guitar by Minnesota Born writer, Mason Chennells along with synth and vocals from Irish born filmmaker and writer Seán Kinsella. While we are currently trying to develop our sound; we are an experimental duo with a focus on emotion.

Vincent Allen

“tapping on glass” is an audio/visual performance featuring footage shot over roughly a 3 year period in the dead of night, nearly all from within a car. The music will be performed by with a fairly minimal setup (1 synth and 1 sampler) and contains a mix of manipulated field recordings, harsh-to-euphoric ambiance, and sequenced rhythms. The main purpose of the project is to snap out of the illusionary comfort of driving through a suffering city with glazed over eyes, to find some beauty in urban decay and human/animal resilience. by @bondegi

@bondegi and @absentsound are performing Friday July 5th 9pm-11pm during First Fridays on the rooftop patio at 171 McDermot Ave.

An evening of sonic drones and meditations.
Not your usual meditation 😌

Bring a blanket or pillow to chill and listen to some astral soundscapes, while taking in the colourful video projections.
