Still buzzin from what was a amazing adventure with so many friends. Theres a reason why I continued to hear all around me how special this event is and its more than just the passionate and hard working @junejamaz team... its also the cocreative and playful spirit of the attendees, the artists and vendors, the embrace that is @playaponderosa, and the synchrony in the air.

I know I'm not alone when I say that this year has had emotional strain but theres something medicinal about dance and connecting in the present with like minded individuals that fosters reflection and release.

Thank you to everyone that came and danced at my sets, @soundscrybe & @twyatt.earp of @soundslurp for sharing the decks with me and for all you do to make this event possible, special shout out to @jerryrider for his hard work, @heitened_sound and @soundmoverz for the emaculate soundscapes, and especially @soaplab_music, @coatichris, and the @desertdecibels520 family for enabling creative expression.

Only 2 weeks away from the Legendary @junejamaz and I'm so grateful to be invited back to contribute to the vibe curation. This time myself and the @desertdecibels520 crew are running a solid block on Friday! ��

There's something about this event that encapsulates the human condition. Emphasis on multi-sensory modalities (with a special focus on audio fidelity), the natural embrace that @playaponderosa fosters, the familial community, and the ineffable spirit of gathering, reflecting, and transcending from the default world for a moment all contribute to a sense of what it means to feel alive. ��

Maximum respect to everyone that makes this event what it is, and a special shout out to Christian and Jerry and the entire JJ team for pulling off such a special ceremony, grass roots style with a proper underground foundation. by @bonezjackson

SoundQuest!! We had an incredible time playing the closing night this past weekend. It was an honor to open for Takuya Nakamura (@space_tak) and get our first spin behind the decks at @larosatucson. This was only our second proper Book of the Dead set after debuting the project at June Jam, and running it in a totally different setting here in Tucson was a treat. ^_^

Huge thanks to La Rosa, @steveroachofficial, @noctivision.az, @jeaninne__, and the crew behind the scenes for all their hard work on SoundQuest. I know how much blood, sweat, and tears goes into multi-day events, and my hat is off to everyone involved with putting this one on.

Most of all, thanks to all the friends who showed up and supported the music. 🖤

It’s encouraging to see how many different corners of Tucson’s music scene are growing right now. We’re especially excited to keep pushing deeper into the stranger sides of electronic music and see where Book of the Dead can go from here. 💀

@soundscrybe and @bonezjackson are opening up Book of the Dead again for the project’s @walterwherehouse debut! 📖💀

On Saturday Nov 14th, we will be supporting a stacked lineup including @1985music label founder @alixperez1985, alongside 1985 artists @onhellmusic and @morehijinx.

Alix Perez has been a formidable influence for both Christian and me in our respective musical journeys. From gritty and industrial to soulful and vibey, Alix and the label have always had an eclectic yet cohesive approach to music. Hitting on dubstep, DnB, UKG, and leftfield productions that defy classification, this is a sound that is very much aligned with what Book of the Dead represents.

@SoundScrybe and @bonezjackson are teaming up for our @larosatucson debut on Sunday, 8/30! 🔥

We're honored to bring our new DJ project, Book of the Dead, to the closing night of SoundQuest — La Rosa and ambient legend @steveroachofficial's three-day music festival — opening for Takuya Nakamura (@space_tak), who joined us at @junejamaz earlier this summer. 🎺

We conceptualized Book of the Dead just before June Jam after realizing how our eclectic styles, honed together in the Tucson underground through @desertdecibels520 at @solar_culture_gallery over the past year, converged around heady drum & bass, gritty deep dubstep, breaks, and leftfield electronica. 💀

We tested the idea at the June Jam early entry party this summer and had an absolute blast. Then we doubled down during the Desert Decibels and @soundslurp takeovers at The Stoop later that weekend and quickly realized we needed to keep it going outside of JJ. 🌲

Seeing La Rosa foster Tucson's underground in all its weird and unusual facets — from ambient, drone, and experimental electronica to doom metal, trance, jungle, and breakbeat — makes SoundQuest feel like a particularly fitting place to push the project further. It also leaves us feeling optimistic about the future of the music scene in our little city in the desert! 🌵

I'm excited to make my return to "It's A London Thing" with @tune_town_productions on Saturday August 22nd at @poestucson. This concept hits a core influence to what inspires my musical selections and I get a great amount of joy when I have the opprtunity to play an ALL DNB set!

🌵 Desert Decibels is taking over The Stoop for Friday's Sunset on into peak hours and we're traversing the spectrum of Soundsystem Culture. From dubstep and DnB to UKG, we're going to be flexin' @heitened_sound Danley rig with tunes you can feel in your chest. 🔊
