Their answers were clear: support, motivation, protection, real love—and someone who will listen, not just hear them.

22 YEARS OF ANIYAH ❤️🕊️

September 14 marked 22 years of my daughter, Aniyah Underwood.

From the morning my brother Quan and I prepared her resting place, to the handwritten messages, flowers, prayers, Du’aa and balloons released in her honor—this day reminded me how much love still surrounds Aniyah’s name.

Yesterday, Rayna told us how she built her confidence one win at a time.

Tonight, we see what happens when that competitive switch turns on. 😤🏀

When the game gets tight and the score is close:

“Give me the ball. I’m going to score.”

Then she goes and gets the bucket.

Confidence didn’t show up first—the work did. 🏀

From fifth grade until now, Rayna says every time she worked harder and saw progress, her confidence grew.

Now, when self-doubt shows up, she reminds herself:

“No—you can still do this.”

Sometimes you have to remember how far you’ve already come to find the confidence to keep pushing forward.

Back in 2008, I needed somebody to ask me one simple question: “How do you feel mentally today?” Nobody did.

That’s why I refuse to stop asking it now.

I asked this brother @bossolini54 , and while sharing what he was going through, he told me that seeing my journey motivates him. That moment reminded me why this work matters.

Take the question home. Ask your children, your family, your friends and especially the men around you.

This ain’t entertainment… this therapy.
