WHAT ARE WE? We are The Bonfire, and we’re Kjipuktuk/Halifax’s Only Tip-Free Restaurant. We profit-share with our employees and take responsibility for their wage, so you don’t have to. We’re tired of capitalism and we’re frustrated by the 1% taking 100% of profits. We are a team, we need and rely on each other, and we are all in this together. by @bonfirehalifax

WHO ARE WE? We’re Vince & Kristyn, and we own the place! We’ve been talking about having a restaurant ever since we got together, and we can’t believe it’s finally happening! Vince (he/him) has worked in kitchens for over 20 years, and Kristyn (she/they) is a professional host - we’re working together to create the most welcoming and delicious restaurant experience for the neighbourhood and city we love. 📸: @stoometzphoto by @bonfirehalifax

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS? Everybody is different! Everyone has different needs and dietary restrictions. Your preferences should be recognized and validated - it’s what makes us all unique! We are a safe space, we are a considerate space, and we are looking forward to building a restaurant on a more ethical foundation. by @bonfirehalifax

Our poutine is naturally GLUTEN FREE! The gravy is also dairy-free & plant-based, so you can substitute your curds for plant-based cheese and have a PLANT-BASED POUTINE at NO EXTRA COST! 🍟🌱❤️ Providing gluten-free staples and plant-based options has always been important to us - we both have family members with allergies and restrictions, and we were so excited and are so proud to make this gluten-free, dairy-free/plant-based-option poutine come to life❤️ (And! It’s actually really good !!!) Also available on @ubereats - we pack the gravy separately to prevent sogginess! #poutine #halifax #glutenfree #vegan #dairyfree taken in The Bonfire by @bonfirehalifax
