Olaf is a new addition to @nationalgreyhoundcentre_uk Horley and we had the absolute pleasure of taking him out on an adventure today. He was SUCH a good good boy. I’m sure he’ll find his furever family in no time and make them so happy ❤️❤️❤️

‼️ ADOPT BEAU ‼️
.
We are missing baby Beau so much already 😔💔 We would love to help him find his furever home.
.
He is honestly such a wonderful dog:
.
✅ Very brave in the big city and comfortable living in an apartment 🌇
✅ Walks perfectly on a lead 😇
✅ Loves adventures and travels really well in the car 🚙
✅ Perfect pub dog 🍺 - he will happily lie beside you in a pub or cafe if you bring something soft for him to lie on
✅ Super cuddly and affectionate 🤗 Every morning he will shower you with kisses as soon as you open your eyes 👅 and if you sit down and open your arms he will run over and shove his big head into your chest before snuggling down beside you 🥰❤️
✅ Incredibly sweet, gentle and friendly with people 💕 Even when the vet was digging a bit of grit out of his foot with a needle he just stood there leaning into me and didn’t make a peep 🥺
✅ Super playful and funny, he loves playing with his toys and shredding boxes 🤪
✅ Snoozes all day, the perfect work from home companion 😴
✅ Sleeps all through the night in his bed and will only get up when you do. 🛌 Sometimes if he knows you’re awake he’ll come over to see if you’re ready to get up but if you are still snoozing he’ll go back to bed too 🥺
✅ Doing really well with dogs he sees outside 🐶❤️ He’s not keen on engaging with other dogs up close but he is doing very well at calmly walking past them. He can get a bit worried if they react to him but he just needs quiet reassurance.
✅ Sooooo incredibly handsome 😍🖤❄️🤍

❌ Doesn’t like being left alone
❌ Cannot live with cats or other small furries and would probably prefer to be the only dog.
❌ He can get excited at times and jump up or get a bit nibbly. His nibbles are very cute and gentle but he wouldn’t be suited to young children or anyone very frail.
.
.
I just know Bobo’s perfect family is out there somewhere so please share this post far and wide and hopefully we can find them 🤞🏡

𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐮’𝐬 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐠 - 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟓𝟔

Well, our time with baby Beau has sadly come to an end 😭
.
We initially agreed to take him for a week, maybe a month because he’d been in the rehoming kennels for over a year and the team really wanted to see how he’d do in a home so they could get a better idea of what his perfect forever family might look like.
.
When we first met him he was so hyper, we honestly wondered what we were letting ourselves in for. We had no idea that he would prove to be the sweetest, most cuddly boy, utterly adorable and a little bit bonkers.
.
We really wish we could keep him because he’s so perfect for us in so many ways but he really needs a family who can be with him most of the time, not one who works all day at the office like we do.
.
He’s filled our apartment and our lives with his big heart and spirit and we’re going to miss him sooooo much. We really hope he finds his forever family soon, they’re going to be so lucky to have him. 🥺🖤❄️🤍

We had a greyt time exploring the dog friendly trails @kew.wakehurst
He looked tiny beside the giant redwoods and very much enjoyed sampling @hackneygelato malted milk ice cream 🤤
.
I was a bit worried about how he would do taking him to somewhere with so many dogs and squirrels 😬
I gave him a pep talk before we went (am I the only one that gives my dogs pep talks?! 🤣) and he absolutely smashed it 🥳
.
Luckily we didn’t see too many squirrels but we saw lots of dogs and, although he was a little bit unsure at times, he walked past all of them fairly calmly with just a little bit of redirection 👏 He also settled so nicely in the cafe while we were eating lunch 🥺
.
We continue to put him in situations that might challenge him (always with contingency plans in case it’s too much) but every time he surpasses all expectations. He’s just SUCH a good boy 🥺🥺

𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐮’𝐬 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐠 - 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟑𝟕-𝟑𝟗

He’s so ridiculously cute when he’s sleeping 🥺🥺 and he never seems more content that when he’s snoozing beside us 🥺
.
Despite our best efforts, sadly we’re not making progress with his alone training 😞. We’ve been very gradually increasing his time alone but he just seems to be getting more distressed not less and he’s getting more clingy and anxious even when we are around 😞 so we’ve abandoned all attempts at that.
.
I do think he could probably get there but he needs someone who can go at his pace, commit to it over the long term and who has a bigger support network of people who can stay with him in the meantime. We’re just two people and it’s very hard for one of us to be here 24/7.
.
Although we sadly won’t be able to adopt him, we’re so happy that we’ve been able to have him stay with us. He brings us so much joy and laughter everyday and we know he’s going to be the most amazing hound for the right family.

I really hope he’ll find his forever family soon 🤞 and we’ll continue to give him all our love for the rest of our time with him 🖤 by @bonkersbud

𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐮’𝐬 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐠 - 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟑𝟔

Today baby Beau had an exciting day out to @crossnesset . Built in only 6 years and opened in 1865 it helped pump 300,000 litres of sewage per minute out of London. It was decommissioned in the 1950’s and left abandoned until 1984 when a group of volunteers made it their mission to save it and restore it to its former glory. It’s called “the cathedral of sewage” and it’s not hard to see why, this is 💩 pumping with style 😏
.
He was SUCH a good boy, he made friends with lots of people, including one of the volunteers who also used to have a greyhound called Beau 😯 and he very much enjoyed attacking one of the fake rubber rats that was part of the model walkthrough sewer tunnel 🤣😂 by @bonkersbud
