When you're told it's "Just a bad period"

No Hun, it's not!!

I can't even explain how many times I've been told it's just a bad period.🙈
Endometriosis may be invisible but it certainly doesn't feel it.

I'd like to say I have a high pain threshold but some days it kicks my ass.

I was so shocked because I really thought boy !!
Obviously Lee was annoyingly correct 😆
Jokes on him though because The realisation has hit lee that he's got to worry about his little girl forever 🩷.

I couldn't have thought of a better way of finding out than biting into these absolutely beautiful cakes.

(Thank you so much Helen & the Barnetts honestly they was the best cupcakes ever. )
I wish I had more than one 😆

Of course we couldn't leave the big stink out so I made angel her very own slightly wonky doggy cake 🩷

we are so over the moon 🌝

Then you need to make a little box like this 🙊

Lisa Mou made me this when she knew I was going through IVF which is so thoughtful and I'm sooooo grateful for this box right now.

Today the ginger biscuits have saved me🙊

I've also gone from 272764462 red bulls and coffee a day to enjoying a decaf .. who am I??!!

Our IVF icsi journey

A few Months into under a minute 🙊

After countless fertility issues ,
We was then be given a time frame on being able to have children.
We both knew we'd rather try to have children than always wonder.

we didn't know what to expect but all the way through the journey we were hopeful.
We were super lucky to have one top grade embryo .
It only takes 1 !

Me and lee are also super Grateful for @hayleyjaynel who helped me during the process especially for making time to drive me about when I got ohss.

Endometriosis awareness 💛

Do you suffer with this or know anyone who does?

the pain is real....And I'm not alone.!!

Just because you can't see it, it doesn't mean it isn't there.

If every woman with endometriosis had to put their hands up every time any pain happened, I think there would be such a shock to people worldwide. ✋

Women have been silently suffering with this incurable condition for years.

when you try to get a diagnosis with the drs you're almost always shut down by medical professionals and dismissed with having "bad periods".

A diagnosis is not a cure but it's such a huge deal to know you've been seen and that you're believed.

All I can say is you know your own body better than anyone

The great wall of china & the terracotta army 😍

It's always been a dream for me to see them in person .
I'm so lucky to get to travel the world and tick off places that I've wanted to visit with my Fiancé 💍 👀

As you can tell the Weather didn't hold out on the day of the wall so tobogganing down the great wall didn't happen however the early bird gets the worm and all that,
we literally got the whole wall to ourselves for the first few hours 😍

💜 April is Adenomyosis awareness month 💜

So what is Adenomyosis?

Adenomyosis
is a benign condition where the endometrium (lining of the uterus) grows into the muscular wall (myometrium), causing an enlarged, tender uterus, severe pelvic pain, and heavy, prolonged menstrual bleeding. While the exact cause is unknown, it often affects women over 30 and commonly coexists with endometriosis.

Key Aspects of Adenomyosis

Symptoms: Many individuals experience painful periods (dysmenorrhea), chronic pelvic pain, heavy menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia), abdominal bloating, and pain during intercourse

Causes & Risk Factors: The cause is unclear, but theories suggest tissue invasion after uterine procedures (C-sections, surgeries) or developmental origins. Risk factors include being over age 30, having children, and previous uterine surgery.

Diagnosis: Often diagnosed via pelvic exam, ultrasound, or MRI, though it can be missed on imaging.

Impacts on fertility

Implantation Failure: The disease can disrupt the uterine lining and muscular contractions, making it difficult for an embryo to implant.

Reduced IVF Success: Women with adenomyosis often face lower pregnancy rates and higher miscarriage rates during Assisted Reproductive Technology.

Pregnancies associated with adenomyosis have a higher risk of preterm labor, placenta previa, and placental abruption.

Associated Conditions: Adenomyosis frequently coexists with endometriosis (18% of cases) or uterine fibroids, which also negatively affect fertility.

I was one of them, yet I had every symptom and wasn't checked on countless appointments.

I'd not heard of Adenomyosis until I was diagnosed in an IVF appointment by a nurse who assumed I'd had been told Prior to my endometriosis removal surgery.

I felt seen by this nurse 💛
it wasn't a matter of needing a diagnosis but more so being believed. 💛
