While shopping for my husband's birthday, a few sets may have accidentally followed me home too.

It's called balance. 😂🧱

Today wasn't just a LEGO run... it was a secret birthday mission to get my husband a few gifts when he didn't need or want anything. And since he has plenty of plants and trees...why not LEGO?

A few gifts for him, and even more LEGO for me. After all, it's funny how things change. What started as my LEGO obsession somehow became our LEGO obsession. 😏

I'm thankful for a husband who embraces my hobbies, supports my crazy ideas, and yes... having someone who never questions why another LEGO set came home.

Happy Birthday! May your year be filled with joy, good health, unconditional love, and plenty of bricks and bonsai trees!

Plant Thoughts for the Week.

1. Bend, don't break: Sometimes resilience isn't standing taller, it's learning how to bend without breaking.

2. Not all growth moves upward: This juniper reminds me that sometimes progress isn't always a straight line up. Growth sometimes looks like adapting or pivoting in a new direction.

3. Trust what you're becoming: This juniper's shape didn't happen overnight nor did it grow into this shape in a single season. Neither do we. Keep showing up and trust the process.

4. Strength isn't always loud: Sometimes it is quite growth, steady progress and years of patience.

5. Don't overlook small or slow progress: Every great bonsai and LEGO build start the same way, one small piece at a time. A single branch or brick won't look impressive at first but given enough time, both can be something worth admiring.

And yes this juniper is overdue for pruning! by @bonsaixbricks

What's in the yellow bag?

BrickLink Designer Program Privateer Frigate Fortuna | 910059 | Designed by Brick Perfection

This set sold out, became a collector favorite, and somehow ended up waiting for me at my local LEGO Store. Maybe I'm lucky!

Some see just a bag. Others see an expensive hobby. I, like so many other LEGO fans see endless possibilities to create and build.

I can't wait to enjoy a few hours of happiness waiting inside this yellow bag!

🍋 These lemons are still green, but growth is happening. A little fertilizer, consistent care, and patience go a long way. The best harvests are worth waiting for.

Trust the process.

LEGO | Emirates Team New Zealand Yatch # 42174

This retiring soon LEGO Emirates yacht might be one of the most underrated Technic display sets I've built, especially under 1,000 pieces. I was lucky to find this at my local Barnes & Noble store. Definitely a fun set to build! Now figuring out where I'm displaying it is another challenge.

This might be controversial but I'm curious what the Bonsai and LEGO collectors would choose.

A retired Collector's Item (D&D) or a Rare Living Collectible (Mikawa Yatsubusa Japanese Maple Tree)!

5 years from now... Which one is worth more?

One is no longer in production.
One will take years to fully develop.
One will never physically grow but the resale value will.
One changes every season and will bring so much beauty year after year.

If you could only keep one, what are you taking?

I can't believe I got this set on clearance this week for the damaged box)

🌿 This Ficus is getting a trim soon!

Funny how plants remind us that growth often starts with letting go and the same is true in life.

Sometimes the things holding us back aren't bad, they're just keeping us from becoming what we're meant to be.

What are you pruning right now?

🗼 I bought the $630 LEGO Eiffel Tower and I only paid $200! But there's a catch... 😬

Dust everywhere. Partially built. Possibly missing pieces. And I have no idea if it's assembled correctly.

So what would you do? Finish cleaning and...

🧱1) START OVER or🗼 2)KEEP BUILDING

Comment below and follow for a Part 2 to see what we decide. I'm pretty sure you're leaning toward 1, you're on the right track.👇

It's almost that time of year, which means it's time to get the grow tent ready for my tropical plants. A little preparation now can go a long way to prevent cold damage and give these tropical plants the best chance to thrive until spring.

I'll post more videos about my setup and steps I'm taking get my plants ready for this transition. Like and follow for more plant preparation videos.

What are you doing to prepare your tropical plants for fall and winter?
