. ✨ Can you guess the books from these naked covers?✨

Bonus question...if you recognise them and also got book 1 from Waterstones, what colour cover did you get?

So I actually sent my boyfriend into the shop to grab me book 1 when it came out and told him to surprise me with what colour cover he picked up. And bless him, he even ran back to the car while it was pissing it down trying his hardest to protect the book from the rain. And he did a very good job

✨ I know these aren't exactly spooky season colours but I love these colours together, and the fact the edges are all floral is just more satisfying ✨

QOTD - Have you read any of these books?
All of them are still on my tbr because I buy books a lot quicker than I can read them

✨ What's the last book you added to your shelves?✨

I had 2 books arrive while I was away last week so technically 2 could be the last book I added to the shelf, so here's 1 of them.

I somehow managed to avoid all spoilers for it too so it was an even nicer surprise when I got home

✨ What do you plan on reading this month?✨

Okay so I might be being a little ambitious here as the past few months I've only read 2 books in a month, buuuuut, I'm on holiday next week so should have plenty of reading time. And I'm also taking part in @paralleljourneysbookclub book of the month, as well as joining #thiswitchreads challenge for this year as I missed doing it last year. So fingers crossed this is the motivation I need to get back into things

✨ How is everyone doing with their reading goals?✨

I actually changed my overall reading goal today from 55 down to 40. I've hit a few slumps this year, mainly because of life in general, not because I haven't enjoyed the books. So I changed it to something I feel is more achievable for me

This year I also set a couple of non figure related goals, one of which was to finish at least 1 series I'd started a pre.vious year, which I have achieved. Another is to try more audio books, which I have also achieved, even though I'm still trying to find what works best for me with audios

✨ Do you read interconnected series/spin offs in order? Or as and when you come across it? ✨

I will always try to read books or series in the order they are released because you never know what spoilers you might come across. Which has very much been the case with the Six of Crows series. I've had a few people say this series is so much better than Shadow & Bone, but as I've not finished that series, yet, I'm putting off picking up Six of Crows

✨ Would you like to live in a small town full of supernatural creatures? ✨

I would 100% percent love to live in a town like that. Granted I would also want to have a supernatural ability, if not, it would be fun just to be surrounded by so much magic. But just remind me not to get on anyone's bad side.

I read Potions & Proposals by Kate Callaghan a couple of years ago now and she is definitely one of my auto buy authors now. She just manages to mingle small town romance and magic together so well. Whether it's the spookier side of Village of Foxford, or the christmassy wonderland of Village of Yule. I will happily jump right in, just need to remember whether I need my witches hat or Santa hat

✨ Would you rather be able to finish every book you start within a day OR remember every book you ever read? ✨

Honestly I'd prefer to be able to finish a book within a day, if I forget what happens in them, oh well, I just need another day to sit and read it. Plus this also means I could actually make a good dent on my never ending tbr

✨ Do you have any auto buy authors? ✨

I'm sure a few of you know by now that Rebecca F Kenney is 100% an auto buy author for me. Her books always manage to get me out of a slump and her characters are ones that stick with me for ages. Which is why you can understand my excitement that this book has released today!!

Happy release day for Heart Break Prince @rebeccafkenneybooks

🪷 Blurb and tropes 🪷
On Syth's first night as a bodyguard for the kingdom's careless prince, there's a coup, and she must go on the run with the prince she's supposed to protect. Vawn is naughty and lecherous, handsome and sarcastic. He's also pathetically incapable of protecting himself. As the two of them flee from enemies and try to decide whom to trust, they become entangled in more ways than one...and they team up with a very intelligent, occasionally irritating, magic carpet

💜 Only one carpet
💙 He's mine
💜 Touch him and die
💙 "Bad Girl"
💜 Bodyguard romance
💙 Magic glyphs
💜 Standalone romantasy

Out now and available on Kindle Unlimited!

✨ Alphabet TBR - S (kindle) ✨

In an effort to remind myself what I have on my never-ending tbr/hold myself accountable, I've decided to start a little series of posts dedicated to the books I own on my tbr both kindle and physical

I don't even want to think about how long Serpent & Dove has been sitting on my kindle. But it was definitely one I picked up a good few years ago when this was all over bookstagram

Have you read this book or series?
