HAPPY October 🌸🎃 by @bookand.bloom

Even when a situation seems so personal, even if others insult you directly, it has nothing to do with you.

Love will change your perception of everything… You can see everything with the eyes of LOVE. 💕 by @bookand.bloom

In The Four Agreements, “be impeccable with your word” is basically saying: don’t use your words to harm yourself or other people. Speak truthfully, mean what you say, and be careful about gossip, insults, lies, and harsh self-talk. He meant use your words with integrity!

And “impeccable” here is deeper than just “perfect.” Ruiz explains it more like not using your word against yourself.

So it can look like:

* saying what you actually mean instead of hinting or creating conflict
* not calling yourself stupid, ugly, worthless, etc.
* not spreading gossip or tearing somebody down
* keeping your promises when you can
* speaking from love and truth instead of fear or anger

That’s also why he treats the first agreement as so powerful: words shape the way we see ourselves and other people. If you constantly tell yourself “I can’t do this,” eventually you start living like it’s true. But if your words become more intentional, your thoughts and behavior can start changing too. by @bookand.bloom
