In a bookclub, you'll always find diverse reactions to the book of the month......

There are those who complete reading in a week♥️

There are those who carry the book around everywhere but only read when it's just a few days to the discussion day.😂😂

There are those who are literally fighting for their lives to get through the BOTM and those that are encouraging them to not give up🥺

It's a beautiful thing to experience books and reading through different eyes, perspectives and lenses!

We can't wait for bookclub discussion on Saturday 31st October, 2026 at City Reads OSU!📍

At the @bookborgas club, we love reading beyond what’s familiar to us. ✈️🌍📚

From now until the end of October, we’re taking a literary trip to Sweden 🇸🇪 with The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Harriet Vanger, a young woman from one of Sweden’s wealthiest families, disappeared more than 40 years ago and her uncle has never stopped searching for the truth.

Enter disgraced journalist Mikael Blomkvist and brilliant, unconventional hacker Lisbeth Salander. Together, they uncover a trail of secrets, corruption and a mystery that refuses to stay buried.

📖 Read along with us!

The book is available at @booksenroute. Shop online or visit them in-store and join the conversation with the BookBorgas. ❤️

September/October’s reading is taking us into a world of crime, mystery and secrets with The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson.

We have a feeling this one is going to give us a lot to talk about👀
Get your copy, start reading and come ready with your theories, suspicions and opinions.

Let’s see where this story takes us.

Still reeling from this afternoon with @kwasi_sei 💃🏾📚

Thank you to everyone who came through and, of course, to Michael for dropping gems that we’re keeping safely within the @bookborgas community for now😂

But don’t worry, we won’t keep all the good stuff to ourselves. We’ll be sharing some of those gems and think pieces from the conversation soon.

For now, enjoy the highlights!💃🏾

Reading a book is one thing. Getting to sit down with the person who wrote it is another.
This Sunday, we’re creating a space to do just that with @kwasi_sei.

Expect an afternoon of conversation, an opportunity to ask your questions, get your copy of Where Shadows Gather signed, share your thoughts about the book and meet other readers along the way.

If you’ve read the book, come with your thoughts. If you have questions, bring those too. And if you simply want to spend an afternoon talking books, there’s a seat for you.

We are more than excited to have selected Where Shadows Gather by @kwasi_sei as our BOTM for August 🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭

In the sultry hush of a Ghanaian suburb where reality bristles with myth and memory, Police officer Comm Quartey gets entangled in a case that blurs the boundaries between the real and the otherworldly; a web of secrets that begins on the streets of Accra, threads through a hospital ward, and coils deep into the underbelly of political power.

Around him, grief wears strange masks: a madman whose words echo truth and secrets; a mother who speaks to her dead husband as if he still sits beside her; a brother who dreams of escape while the country's pulse falters; young pregnant women vanishing without explanation; and neighbours whose laughter hides the scent of rot.

In this haunting debut, Agyapong weaves mystery, memory, and the slow violence of a nation at war with itself. Where Shadows Gather is both a portrait of a city's unravelling and a study of the ghosts we carry.

Do read along with us wherever you are!
