Leave Your Mess At Home - 4.25 ⭐️ Baby family is messy as hell and this book perfectly captures how siblings can be raised in the same house yet have completely different experiences. This book touched on so many topics which I loved — there was a tragedy towards the end that felt a bit unnecessary for me — was there an opportunity to move forward without a traumatic event? Despite that, I really enjoyed this read and highly recommend!

The Seven Daughters of Dupree - 4 stars ⭐️ Historical Fiction? Multi-POVs? Sign me up! The Dupree women had me skressedddd with all the secrets but it was a timely reminder that before someone was your mother or grandmother they were a whole, human with complexities and nuances. Great read with so many opportunities for fruitful conversation!

The Girls Who Grew Big - 3.75ish ⭐️ I’ve seen mixed reviews on this one but I actually really enjoyed it! This book forces you to wrestle with so many stereotypes and preconceived notions we subconsciously hold about young mothers and humanizes the characters in such a magnificent way. Now I had to keep reminding myself that these were teenagers … and lawd they acted like it. But the writing was poetic and beautiful, and I really liked this pick!

Cursed Daughters - 4.25 ⭐️ Whew this was a ride! I really loved this fast paced, eerie, thrilling, drama-filled read exploring family secrets, mental health, reincarnation, and how much of what we carry is ours or our someone else’s baggage? Highly recommend this one!
