Characters felt flat, and the story was mostly just a series of events from their lives, with little tension. The ending didn’t quite work for me as well. Anyway, the writing was actually nice, but I felt it lacked depth and excitement.

The execution was so clever, with a fractured timeline and controlled information for more than half of the book just enough for you to have a hunch. 👀 I actually loved that the book introduces several suspicious side plots to keep me second-guessing and he defo knows how to work backwards to construct the path. But some clues are just so well-placed from around page 200 onwards that you can start connecting the dots before the reveal. 😅 Yes, I did notice some plot holes? actually many 😂 but honestly, I don’t care! I was too invested in the story for the plot holes to ruin the moment, NO! 😄

A brief read that hits surprisingly hard! First of all, can we appreciate the title?! The more I dwell on it, the smarter it becomes! Second, the book cover 😍 Look how beautiful it is! Cover Artist Dante Luiz, you are amazing!! 🙌🏼
What do you mean by a zombie concept used as a metaphor for trauma, grief, anger, and hurt that turn into something truly haunting?! Right?? with a queer theme! Yass! The level of creativity is remarkable considering it’s just under 100 pages, I just wish I had more of it! Certain flesh-eating scenes are too graphic but pretty poetic. Her writing style is so evocative, lyrical, and enchanting! ❤️

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this one, especially the glamorous, beachy summer-vacation vibe and the gradual revelations throughout the story. While there wasn’t a jaw-dropping twist, I still found it an enjoyable read. ⋆.𐙚 ̊

I got chills reading that part. 🥶😦 The twist genuinely surprised me!
But honestly, I was expecting a little more from it. Also, E. Lockhart’s writing style just isn’t my cup of tea. Still, it was a good read! 🖤

Finished this around the third week of July! I had some issues with the pacing and felt like a tired storyline. Nonetheless, it was fun trying to figure out who the real killer was.

I finished reading this one on January 10, 2026.
The story felt a bit dragging and, at times, downright boring. Compared to the first two books, this one just didn’t have the same impact or excitement for me. Definitely the weakest of the trilogy.

Started reading this one on November 22, 2025, and finished it two days later.
Hmmm…while it didn’t have quite the same impact on me as The Housemaid, I still had a good time reading it. Definitely worth picking up if you enjoyed the first book! 😊

Started reading this on November 10, 2025, and finished it the very next day. It was such an addictive read! I loved all the twists and turns throughout the story. Just when I thought I had everything figured out, another surprise came along! 🤯 Oooh jeeezzz Millie, such a badass!! 🔥This is definitely one of the best psychological thrillers I’ve ever read!
Five stars, without a doubt! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🔥
