Marisol is racing against time to reach the Wishing Sun portal, which has the power to grant her wish. To get there, she must jump from a cliff and swim into a deadly whirlpool. As Marisol jumps into the vortex, she is rescued by a kraken.

this was a cute and fun short monster romance! the story is very cozy with an interesting storyline and good world building and even though this is a short read the relationship between the two characters doesn't move too fast..a perfect palate cleanser after reading something dark or emotionally heavy!

For eight years, Callan, the cruel Frost Prince, hasn’t been able to touch anyone after his powers grew stronger and got out of control. for years he searching for a gem that can suppress his powers so he can finally touch someone again. then he meets Wrenora, a rare imbuing mage capable of creating exactly what he needs. but the more time they spend together, the harder it becomes for Callan to deny the pull between them, when one touch could risk freezing her forever

I love Disney’s Frozen, and finding out this is a genderbent Frozen where the two characters can’t touch each other at all?? I’m sold. I had a good time with this one. I really enjoyed the frosty setting..the Frozen inspired concept, enemies to lovers dynamic, and forbidden touch situation are definitely my favorite parts😆 Callan’s yearning and longing for Wren are awesome.. he doesn’t want to risk killing her though he wants to touch her so badly...😢

it's a short quick read and this book has a fascinating premise, with a dual timeline that allows you to get to know the characters, especially the strong fmc whom you really root for to succeed in her revenge🥹 plus the twist at the end was completely unexpected😨 recommended for fans of dark romance!

𝘽𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙡𝙚𝙙𝙜𝙚𝙧 is a dark romance featuring a female serial killer hunting the men who destroyed her life. This is an episodic series with five shorter books that combine to tell one larger story. ✨️Blurb:
They call her a monster.
A murderess.
But legends rarely tell the whole truth...

For over a century, Bea has haunted the River’s End. Forced to eternally wash the grave clothes of the dying, she spends her days searching the bloodstained garments she cleanses for the pieces of a spell that could finally break her curse and allow her to go to her rest. But Bea’s search is interrupted when the river brings her a warning:

He is coming.

Brennen knows the Washwoman’s tale all too well—the monster who murdered the woman he loved and left him with nothing but an unbreakable vow of vengeance. So when he’s assigned as her guard, he believes the Fates have finally blessed him. But the woman he finds at the River's End is nothing like the monster from her legend.

When women across the kingdom begin to vanish and mysterious deaths follow—deaths only Bea can foresee—Brennen is forced into an uneasy alliance with the very woman he’s spent years hunting. But as they search for answers, hatred twists into reluctant trust, and trust into something far more dangerous: desire.

With fate closing in and time running out, Brennen must decide if he will damn his soul to save the woman he swore to kill, while Bea must choose between the rest she once longed for and the love that could destroy them both.

✨️Blurb:

For over a century, mothers have warned of the Washwoman at the River's End—a woman cursed by the Fates to haunt the river, washing the deathclothes of the dying so their souls may cross into the After. They say she is wicked. A murderess. But legends rarely tell the whole truth.

Broken and desperate, Bea spends her days searching the bloodstained garments she cleanses for the five pieces of the spell that could break her curse, end her eternal torment, and finally allow her to rest.

Brennen knows the legend of the Washwoman all too well—the monster who murdered the woman he loved, leaving him with nothing but grief and an unbreakable vow of vengeance. So when he's assigned as her guard, it feels as if the Fates themselves have blessed him. But the woman he meets at the river is nothing like he imagined. She is gentle. Quiet.

And impossible to kill.

When women begin to vanish and mysterious deaths spread throughout the kingdom—deaths only Bea can foresee—Brennen and Bea are forced into an uneasy alliance. But as they search for answers, hatred twists into reluctant trust, and trust into something far more perilous.

With fate closing in and time running out, both face an impossible choice. Will Brennen honor the oath written in his own blood, or damn his soul to save the woman he vowed to destroy?

And will Bea claim the peace she's longed for… or sacrifice her freedom to save the man destined to kill by @bookishpadawan

📚 𝗔𝗥𝗖 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪 📚
𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗦𝗲𝗮 𝗯𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗖𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶

Okay, this review is going to be a little different from the ones I usually post. (No, this is not a negative review, I loved this book!💕)

Recently, I read a book with 'villain gets the girl' which had me rooting for the villain to win the girl. but this book made me want the exact opposite. I really can’t bear to see this villain end up with the girl!!😫

Amlach is a true villain, a morally black MMC with absolutely no moral compass. he stops at nothing to get the power of Calien’s Crystal. he manipulates, deceives, assaults, and kills thousands of innocent people without hesitation. he even manages to corrupt Nauriel, an elf who is naturally innocent, pure, and kind, turning her into someone morally corrupted. Nauriel is a princess, a general of the Elven army, and the keeper of Calien’s Crystal. she is kind, strong, and definitely not a damsel in distress, but she is desperate🥺 after waiting thousands of years for her mate, she has nearly given up on fate only to realize when she finally finds him, that he could destroy the entire realm...

This book completely ruined me. it’s infuriating yet I couldn’t stop reading because the story was so gripping from the very beginning🤯it is completely unpredictable, with plot twist after plot twist after plot twist right up to the very last page🤯 and the dynamic between Nauriel and Amlach?? absolutely insane🤯 They are fated mates, bound together and unable to stay apart yet Amlach is so blinded by his ambition that they are constantly clashing, both verbally and physically. I kept wondering if Amlach would find redemption or if there was some tragic backstory behind the person he had become? and, absolutely not. I will stop here because I don't want to give anything away, I highly recommend it for anyone to read

I’m just a holy fool oh baby he’s so cruel
but I’m still in love with this book, baby~🎶🫶🏻
