Rating - ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Honey Beckett, a makeup artist, the fourth wife of Barney Beckett, is in utter shock as she is in a car going to attend the funeral of her husband. That is her harsh fate to bear. But when a driver who has recently broken up with her boyfriend, citing the reasons of controlling behaviour, ignites understanding in this superbly cool mystery story of relationships, emotions, and love guiding all.

Sixty-years-old Barney Beckett has always dreamed of the power of technology to bring a change in the life system of human beings. So when his young wife gives total freedom in the family as well as to his work life, he comes up with a new experimental plan that holds at least the possibility of no error in programming, she is stunned naturally. But her loving heart and faithful nature have to pay a price: No one can match the level of thinking with a billionaire's mind.

When Luisa Lang, a professionally intelligent assistant who has always managed the affairs of Barney, messages to attend the funeral, Honey can't believe the reality to accept to her eyes that life-partner is lost. But right there, Honey begins to talk with Rita, the first wife, and Meredith and Svetlana, the other wives, share their moments spent in the past. And when a shocking development arrives and demands to restore her family, she must think clearly for much more than her new path at the cost of gaining her confidence and bliss.

I shall say it is a deadly mystery read, developing with wonder, surprise, and love sharing. Connection-parted, mind-scattering, smartly views love, loss, marital griefs, with key characters and is thoroughly engrossing.

BLACK BAG - LUKE KENNARD
pp - 366
Genre - Fiction/Humorous
Rel - 12/03/2026
Rating - ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Here is a humour-based book that combines drama, passion and friendship. It follows an budding actor, a young artist who happens to get the chance of playing the role of "Black Bag"— a mute character, offered by Dr. Blend, University Professor, to sit idol in a theater course classroom. As he tries to understand the bag's experiment and play with an honest effort as per the given direction, he becomes trapped in the operation of research, business and unexpected romance.

LK's narrative is filled with chases and classes, as the actor's performance leads him through a series of surprising encounters with students, investment management, and a romantic professor, Justine, who may hold the interest to stay in the said role, but that's meant for her theory study. It is plot-charged and loaded with a variety of subject thoughts, keeping the readers busy as they follow the actor's unusual journey with Claudio, his gamer friend, who plans superbly to evolve the roleplay into a commercial brand.

This is a novel that intertwines themes of identity crisis, cordiality, and the quest for individuality within the social circle. At once an entertaining tale of drama and an introspective exploration of human nature, it employs a fine, reactive prose style that draws good attention into the unique characters and their motivations. It is based on the old experiment performed in the past to gauge the response from the people towards a still character of no speech, reflects interaction dimension, and the building spirit of silent human power, making it a guide to view inward.

I found the author's vision of anonymity & the construction of the self is a comprehension of the world's reacting angles, causing an examination of the thinking through the lens of his protagonist. I shall say it is an action-demanding tale that blends human attitudinal mystery with a vital layer of introspection, a remarkable novel. I admit this is one playful read, funny, loving, visionary, touching, dramatic and reforming.

THE FIRST HOUSE - AVNI DOSHI
Genre - Literary Fiction
Release - 24/7/26
Rating - ⭐⭐⭐⭐

A wife thinks of a happy house, a place of warmth for growing daughters. She knows what it's like to live the rest of her life unloved, as the husband finds another place to reside in, leaving the family house, which almost seems like severing the relationship. So begins the sad phase in the wife's life, a mother of two girls, shaken to support them and herself alone without the man of the house. She now gets ready for the new time, spending moments with her mommy, daddy, didi and Sama, her grocery shopping companion. For her, it feels like everything is broken, and she has to make an honest effort to set things right.

Being a homemaker, believes the true way she can really help her girls is by loving as a single mother and moving through the life system. But leading the house without the man and the money means losing the support in the family, which looks so challengingly tough, and has developed a strong dependence on her husband for all the household expenses. Her strong belief in the astrological charts is a concern, and thinking about the position or movement of planets' influence is linked to the peace in the house and state of living or future of the life.

It is her activity of writing a novel that will be one more part of phase of commitment, thoughts to write about. What other life change is there when she has lost the prime member of hope? When her family come looking to care, and another house draws her man's attention and life is a mess, the protagonist's cool spoils slow. She recalls her past life—and love. A house without the man.

I shall say it is a fine family fiction with a surprising ending. Feel-sympathy, a pragmatic book that draws while exhibiting marital tension and deeper human bondings. I found it holds a stronger focus on relationship-questioning, chasing the base of failure. It's brimming with feelings, talks and natural circumstances, and the overall plot holds spirit to its examination, narrating a painful story to capture the main life shock and emotions. Brilliant & reflecting.

THE END OF EVERYTHING - M. JOHN HARRISON
pp - 136
Release - 18 June 2026
Genre - Literary Fiction
Rating - ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The other-world entity iGhetti has mysteriously arrived on planet Earth. Phillip Tennent, the protagonist, a beachcomber boy, has hopefully attempted to communicate with his signals and systems, the party that has left its evidence from the past. The world rarely responds that they exist and have their plans.

Then the people at the seaside witness the experiences of odd nature from strange creatures, one such is an artefact found by Tennent, his aunt Marnie is surprised and is ready with her signs to alert and demand the right attention from the Government. And one day, when they hit in groups on an important area around London, problems surge. But when the aunt-son duo unites to comprehend the state of unrest, they encounter changes from the elements of difference. There's a timely evolving impactful unit near the sea, and no one can walk freely as their presence is deemed unnatural or fight to express their might. Which means that they're new to the unexpected situation. And at this point, gaining cooperation is an act in wait from the human nature.

As developments quickly take shape and a fatal force strikes through their powers, Tennent and Marnie has to work and make strategies to tackle the end, with the company of an artefact closely matching their occurrence, whom among them they can carry and trace out how they can limit the end and restore the flame of survival in a world that has given the chance to live and show the precise class of human mind.

I shall say it is expressive and surprising. Simply uneasy and tough read. Challenging in every sense of the word. With literary skill of handling everything from aliens rule to suffering and a complex, serious imaginative narrative, this differently thought, developing novel will be liked by sci-fi readers. A sense-shifting, disastrous story of an uneven situation: a life-ending episode. MJH narrates the scenes confidently, emphasizing intense chapters of kindness, loss and human nature.

MARIGOLD AND ROSE - LOUISE GLUCK
pp - 38
Genre - Literary Fiction
Release - 27 Oct 2022
Rating - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Rose's infant life is being shaped joyfully in the house. She must give moments with a familial voice, also make cool company with her superbly sharp talent holder, Marigold, her younger baby sister. After she joins the process of sharing heartfelt feelings, witnesses the new development rarely dreamt to live on.

Marigold is like a mind-reader in the people's world. Even though a baby is to a viewer. The one ability in her life has been her observation power; she enjoys talking at a great level and expressing her mind to her sister. As she endeavours to establish her image and identity, she also expresses whether she's ready to produce the finest of art, writing a book. The content is, the presence of animals makes solid sense along with humans.

Being twins sharing to find a joy always in the life with their mother, father, grandmother and other grandmother is their goal in time, reading their faces via actions although they can't read, talking to each other's face although they can't talk and Marigold in her head planning pretty to write a book although she can't write but the duo loaded with wonderful thoughts of expression, baby sisterly talkatively discover that they are one despite their different thinking patterns, evolved into two out of one.

I hugely and totally enjoyed reading this soothing story about babyhood and how relationships can help build the bond in the tiny hearts and also how a sisterly concern grows in early stages. It is absolutely stunning novella, the baby characters are cheerful, and their conversations drew me in. It feels so joyous to read; the baby side of human nature sparkles through. The poetic prose and narration wins. Such a marvellous plus lovely read it was, short and sweet literature.

Special mention @books_through_my_perspective for recommending this wonderful book. 📙

MAY WE FEED THE KING - REBECCA PERRY
pp - 235
Genre - Historical Fiction
Rel - 29 Jan 2026
Rating - ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Here's a curator, who has a project to create scenes with replicas for having an impressive effect. The medieval Palace draws visitors who revisit the past via curated selections on display. She has archivists who are quite cooperative to accomplish this task. What she doesn't have is the control—slips freely into the world of a King, who greatly doubts his position, loses the confidence to exercise his power with courage, although the best of the foods is served to satisfy the taste buds.

The third brother in the family line has never dreamed of a kingdom before. But when his brother's end of life places the reins of the clan in his hand, he has no option but to become a King half-heartedly. Expressing the unusual decisions, the King surprises the court within his dismal rule; he finds himself surrendering too easily to his diplomatic concerns and peace-restoring plans. He doubts whether he can truly trust his Chief Advisor, who is silently scheming suspicious activity.

A common man, the King comes to know that his people of the land dislike him, mainly due to a lack of knowledge to rule with a fighting spirit. But he is gritty to save the kingdom from their attackers, even if that means associating with the shrewd & greedy lady, the King's cousin's wife. Managing this friendly figure along with the Queen, who has a lover, will be a ruling mess that the King, who, with the support of a young attendant, is certain he can lead by forming a bond—she is brimming with joy that will only make the relation more casual.

I see the writing of chapters like snippets fly super fast, engaging. With her debut novel, I shall see that RP demonstrates potential, a literary talent for smart characterization, meditative plotting, sensuality & nice narration that draws the readers into the settings & web of relations of her King. I opine this will give you a worldly glimpse of the ruler's affairs. It's a novel of love and governance, finding a way to live & flow in the ruling of life.

THE THINGS WE NEVER SAY - ELIZABETH STROUT
pp - 170
Genre - Literary Fiction
Release - 07 May 2026
Rating - ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Artie Dam, the protagonist, a history teacher, is stunned when he comes to know that a very great secret of life is hidden. He had never expected this kind, but it leads to silent shock. He feels so alone, although placed between students, staff members, friends and family. With dread in his honest heart and plagued by bad dreams, anticipating getting killed, he falls into the water only to be saved miraculously by a saviour, Ken. Soon Artie strikes a solid friendship, sharing hearty feelings and searching for familial peace as his life is about to collapse due to marital affairs.

Within them is Rob, son of AD, and Francesca, wife of Rob, also a pianist, are cautious and caring to make Artie feel well despite the stress. They're worried about AD, he is slipping into over-isolation amid the busy Evie, his wife. Sometimes it's only his thoughts of freewill and teaching classes that make it good. But AD's life is not the visible reality that people around him thought he was. Nor is his wandering mind.

As a dark secret springs from the past, Artie and the thoughts about to rule a great part of his life and remind him constantly, and control, things that he never thought would surprise him at the sad end phase of his life would test his soulful spirit. It could tear him hard and change to face the given relations in the new light of truth, or a complete view shift and a fresh examination of understandings.

The pace of the novel is so lively—I just sailed it. Lots of interactions, secrets pop up, marital bliss gets disturbed and all in a grief, brilliant writing style. A truly feel-sympathy, heartwrenching story with vital shining empathy. What I enjoyed most was the engrossing narrative that speaks so directly to feel the power of storytelling. Lovely families, joys, emotions, and a bond—all I could turn the pages warmly. I was drawn into the story right from the first chapter. ES knows so well what it is to be a man with deep pain.

Ousted by the adamant editor, he is held together in the dark phase by friendship, uncompromised trust, and patiently instilled strengths. Laura Miller, the protagonist, shares his sadness.

It opens with the conversations, as Putnam, diligent son, is removed from his work position, shocked by a distress call. He thinks of demoralising to worthless personal order, and he's making scenes to believe himself helpless, losing confidence by uttering words of great disappointment, delicate palm-covered house he was raised in, and where his age-weakened father and popular magazine set-up—both inspiring companies, equally shaped in goodness—are transforming another episode bitter. Much to the state of unrest, EP has met the tide of downfall that has already occupied the mindset. When working minds unite, spirits ignite, reasons are unearthed, and each of the work ethics is recalled to count the damages of their shared past.

When Laura decides to buy a house in London, she has no idea how her life would be struck with several developments before it. The desire to own pump choices, finds that her new joy shall be too great to work with grace. She makes up her mind to look into the finer details, a house serving nicely to explorers, which she had dreamt of but never bought. She makes an effort to see what it'll be like and how much she really likes the idea of being with the new people, who, like herself, want their privacy. THE SHADOW OF THE OBJECT - CHLOE ARIDJIS
pp - 192
Release - 16 April 2026
Longlisted - Booker Prize 2026
Genre - Literary Fiction
Rating - ⭐⭐⭐🌗

It is a novel of exhibition and pursuit, continuing the practice of the magical lantern show, Wilhelmina's passion and diligence. From Mexico's confined spaces of the hospital periods that have drawn Flora, a silver jewelry polisher, the protagonist, to get the treatment for her hand for the dog bite, we move to the city of London, a place where cordial relations interact with personal devotion.

Against the ever-illuminating emergence of the shadow—a constant existence of wonder, presentability, and the openness of object beside human nature—the narrator encounters the person who will influence her living and intensely direct her sense over the object. Flora finds Wilhelmina, a toy collector, a lady in her seventies, admitted to the healthcare ward and is accompanied by her lethargic son, Max; she finds a happy-go-lucky figure in him, the loyal, magical lantern show carrier; and in him she comes to realise the evolving image projection show which will become the bond and the love of her life.

I suppose the novel provides a mind-arresting activity of what it is to strike a sound shadow and to seek to understand our relation to it, in humans, in experiences, in talent, or the atmosphere around us. I found it an exploration of the moods of persistence, the visibility of application, and how a hobby develops and brightens. The narrative locks the reader into the shadow affair that will control the narrator's future existence and guide the times of life to come. I can say the author tells this story with great confidence and literary power, all the while relaying the show of its central content and vitality of its action.

I felt it was a love story that narrates differently, the timely guidance that leads to the most unmissable peace. If you love literary fiction with human concern, heart, and a spark of philosophy, read and slip free with an intellectualism. I think it is a stunning piece of writing, mini-literature, and an exciting lit-fic world where characters experience pure magic as the hearts and minds are given a new form. This is a cool novella about life, love and expectations. Tune in for the pro-preaching, magical act of a book. Philosophical angle excels.

DRIVE YOUR PLOW OVER THE BONES OF THE DEAD - OLGA TOKARCZUK
Translator - ANTONIA LLOYD-JONES
Language - Polish
pp - 290
Genre - Fiction/Crime Thriller
Release - 12 September 2018
Ratings - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The body of a man, oddly called Big Foot, a neighbour to Mrs. Duszejko, is found in the house, a remote area located at Kłodzko, situated near the valley. Inside the house, a deer head was also discovered, which had died possibly due to hunting in the forest nearby.

Who was killed? And was he murdered? Janina Duszejko, a former Bridge Engineer and now working as a Teacher, who also reads Blake, takes up the personal interest and begins the investigation of her own in parallel to the local police, which works on the case. Dizzy, her former student, who helps translate Blake and Oddball, her neighbour, are regular company to her. She slowly knows that a Commandant was also killed in the area. Could there be a connection between the two killings?

Convinced through her Astrology study and horoscope readings that the two men's deaths were no accident, Duszejko soon finds herself at the centre of a development that signifies wild animals' relation to human attitude. But to find justice for the hunted dead animals, she must be more kind and take an extreme interest by posting letters to the police citing the animal remains evidence found at the crime scene, assisting them with serious inputs.

In the next part, Innerd, a hunter, & the President of the society and Father Rustle, a priest, are also killed. For Duszejko, these fatally clear murders lead her into a world of hunting and poaching. And the deeper she digs, the more she realises she is being directed by dark powers.

This novel is a literary sensation to me. It's a smart crime thriller, mystery writing at its best; the star author's writing is at a top level above most in this genre. The narrative I found simply spellbinding, and the humour at select places sparkles. An absolutely stunning style of a book, I enjoyed it. A really fine work that deserves more than five stars. I highly recommend this outstanding gem of a read.
