i have lived with mental health struggles for 20+ years. and something i’ll never get over is the emotional release i feel when i read a character find their happily ever after with someone who sees their struggles with mental health and supports them through it.

it’s so easy to think we are “too much” when our brains operate in a way society deems “not normal” but don’t let your brain tell you that you don’t deserve love!!

unfortunately this world isn’t built with disability in mind but that doesn’t having a disability disqualifies someone from living a full life and finding love! i love finding books that make me feel seen with my own chronic illness symptoms AND make me see the world through a pov different than my own.

don’t forget—every single once of us can become disabled at any moment!

📖”in the details” by @authorjuliawolf was one of my absolute favorite reads in 2024! i didn’t think any book of julia’s could match the love i had for “ps you’re intolerable” but clara & jake’s story showed me otherwise!

📚recently brought home some new books then realized i had no more room on my bookshelf so decided to make some room by taking a few others down the street to this little free library!

📖”desperate measures” by katee robert was actually the first audiobook i ever finished and was one of my favorite reads of august! (thank you @cassietruettwrites for the rec!!)
