Last month I received this lovely package and I still can’t believe it. It’s the annoted version of sinners anonymous!!! If you know me you know how much I love this series and its universe. The characters and the plot are so good!! Everything about this package is so beautiful. The book, the cards and the handwritten letter are so lovely and made with love.

Thank you to @authorsommesketcher and Katie for being so kind and lovely 🫶🏼 It genuinely means so much to me. I am still in awe.

✨ Daggermouth ✨

Daggermouth by @hm.wolfe
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Review: The whole atmosphere in this book gave me chills. The rebellion against the government, the resilience of the people, the oppression, it all felt painfully realistic. The scene with the prisoners in the cell singing together while accepting their fate genuinely gave me goosebumps. This book touches on topics that hit very close to reality, oppression, division between people, and women not being valued equally to men.
The characters in this book really captured my heart.
Grayson, the executer.
He witnessed his father kill someone at the age of seven, something no child should ever have to grow up with. And then, eventually, he became the one doing the killing himself. Seeing how that life took the light in him slowly was really painful. But at the same time I loved how emotional Grayson was towards the people he loved . He felt everything so deeply, and honestly, I think that was his greatest strength. Despite growing up in a world full of violence, hatred, death and despite everything his father forced him to become he still had a heart.Callum? Raw topic next pls
The women in this book completely were just wow. They were all so strong, complex, and powerful despite being raised in a world filled with pain and unfairness. Especially Lira. Her character was so layered and complicated, yet so understandable at the same time. Lyra is the definition of a silent threat the kind you never see coming until it’s too late. I loved reading her story. The little moments between Lira and Shadera meant everything to me. Two women from completely different lives, yet both trapped and hurting in their own ways. The scene where Shadera stayed with Lira during her panic attack was so heartwarming. And when Lira broke down in the bathtub and admitted to Callum how terrified she truly was? Getting those emotional and vulnerable moments while everything else is the opposite was really nice. And the ending? I am genuinely not okay. I sat on the train staring at my Kindle for twenty minutes straight, trying to process what had just happened.

ㅤꨄ︎ recent book purchases ㅤꨄ︎

Visiting the works & Waterstones is always fun and I never leave with empty hands.

I’ve heard so much about Nightshade and since we don’t have this cover in Germany I had to get it.
I also picked up Release Me because this special edition was just too gorgeous. They sadly didn’t have book one so I am hoping to get my hands on it one day.

What is your most recent purchase?

✨ 1 year of Enigma ✨

Today marks one year since Enigma was released, and it is still one of the most meaningful reads for me. It really came at the perfect time. It left me raw and empty. Especially Sal, the FMC, made me feel seen in so many ways, and she will always be super special to me. RuNyx knows how to write characters that touch parts of you that are deep inside.

I realized the other day that I never posted pictures of this stunning edition. Its the @owlcrate edition and it’s one of my favorites. The edges, the pages, RuNyx’s letter, and the quality are just so Enigma-coded.

Which book of RuNyx is your favorite?

✨ Sinners condemned & consumed ✨

Tropes: enemies to lovers, age gap, slow burn

Thoughts: I read this almost half a year ago, and I absolutely loved it. Penelope and Rafe’s story has been my favorite in the series so far. Even though their arc spans two books, it never felt dragged out to me. Their chemistry is just so intense that you end up eating up every single interaction between them even while they are hating each other.
The tension, the teasing, and the banter were all so good and made their dynamic really fun to read. If you like a book where it’s more characters than plot. This one is for u.

Have u read the series?

✨the lux series ✨

Do you have a series you read in your teenage years and still love to this day? This series is that for me. I’ve reread it quite a few times now, and every time I fall in love with the story and the characters all over again. It brings back memories of eight years ago, when I first read it. This will always be my favorite fantasy comfort series.

What is your favorite book/series from your teenage years ? ✨

✨Booksta wrap up 2025 ✨

I thought it would be nice to end the year on a positive note by sharing my highlights both book and Bookstagram wise.

I reached my reading goal and I didn’t stress about hitting it. I read at my own pace and didn’t compare myself to anyone else. Honestly y’all this is how it should be!! Reading should be fun and not a chore.

Even after so many months, it’s still crazy for me to say that I became part of RuNyx ARC team. Dream come true. As everyone knows, her books are my favorite books ever, so when I got the email, I freaked out and maybe cried a little😂 I am literally so grateful, and I genuinely never thought this would happen.
Thank u Ru for making this happen <3

I have finally found what works perfectly for my feed. With the bad lighting here in Germany, it definitely took me some time to figure out what works for me and what doesn’t. Each time, taking pictures for my posts would stress me out, but what I’m doing at the moment works perfectly for me, and I’m super glad about that.

This year was also the year I dipped my toes into the world of editing. Whether it was videos, pictures, or graphics. I have always respected everyone who make edits, so in the beginning of the year I made my first actual edit. Since then, I’ve discovered a whole new love for editing!! To the point where I even edit things in my private life. There is so much I have learned about formats, colors, graphics, and shots.
Don’t get me wrong, I definitely had my fair share of breakdowns and pressure while editing. Sometimes it took me days to finish an edit, but I always enjoyed the journey!!
And to those who have helped and motivated me during the process, thank u so much.

I know this year was crazy for so many of us so I just wanted to say, thank u for being here 💗✨

✨book review ✨

The crimson moth by Kristen Ciccarelli

Tropes: enemies to lovers to enemies, hunter/hunted, dual pov, slow burn

Review: The concept of cat and mouse, where she is the hunted and he is the hunter, is one I am already familiar with, but it’s one I have always enjoyed. The idea of her being a witch and him hunting and killing witches is so good, because you can’t help but feel the constant angst of being caught.

Gideon’s heart is marked by traumatizing experiences from the past that still catch up with him. It was heartbreaking to see what kind of trauma he had to go through and how deeply it affected him. I wanted to give him the biggest hug. I feel like, deep down, Gideon knew that Rune was the moth, but he didn’t want to actually believe it because the lines between wanting and not wanting her were already blurred. I did not like the fact that he knew his brother liked Rune but still allowed things to happen between them. Yes, Alex never said anything to Rune, but it was so obvious.

Rune, on the other hand, I LOVED because once she made up her mind, no one could really change it. While this did put her in situations that could have been avoided, it also led to more tension and some amazing moments.

The side characters, such as Alex and Verity, were interesting. I did like Alex, and I am lowkey mad about what happened to him. I don’t think he deserved that, especially after Rune agreed to go away with him. As for Verity, no comment. I was suspicious of her from day one, and it turned out I was right. After finding out who she really was, and knowing what had happened to Gideon, I would have completely lost my mind.

The enemies to lovers aspect was so good. The hatred between them, the way they tried to use each other, yet couldn’t stay away, is always a winning trope for me.

The writing was good and fast paced, so there was never really a dull moment. However, you could tell it’s a YA book because some things happened too fast without being fully developed

I already started book two and I am curious to see what happens 🤭

✨ book review ✨

Hollow Heathens by Nicole Fiorina

Rating: 4.75 ⭐️

Review: When @laraisabelle_reads said she’d read a fantasy book and thought I would love it, I knew I had to pick it up 😅
I went in completely blind, and I’m so glad I did.

Even 100 pages in, I still felt super confused, but I didn’t mind it at all! It added to the mystery and darkness throughout the book. I took it chapter by chapter, and each one had me feeling so angsty.

Weeping Hollow is full of secrets and history. You learn everything as the fmc, Fallon, learns it, and although the pacing is slow, it really helps build suspense. Sometimes I was so frustrated with everyone because, just like Fallon, I wanted to know what secrets they were keeping from her. The storyline surrounding the curse unfolded slowly, but I enjoyed the ride as I learned more and more.

Julian’s character felt so dark because of the curse hanging over him. The way he viewed himself was truly heartbreaking, and I’m glad he got his happy ending. I loved Julian and Fallon together because they found comfort in each other since they’d been seen as freaks their whole lives. Their broken souls were calling for esch other. Their relationship was gentle yet dark, and I loved that contrast.

All the characters were super unique, and it took me some time to figure them out. The slow build up made the twist even more shocking when it finally came. I couldn’t have been more surprised.

If you love fantasy with romance, darkness, mystery, and great twists, then this one is for you!!

What’s your favorite fantasy book?

✨2 years of Bookstagram ✨

It’s crazy to think that I created this account without really knowing how Instagram or the whole book community worked. All I knew was that I wanted to share my love and passion for reading, and I’m so glad I went for it.

Meeting people here who share the same love for books means everything to me. I love yapping for hours and hours about stories, characters, and all things bookish. Receiving ARCs and becoming part of my favorite author arc team is something I never thought would ever be possible!!

I’ve made amazing connections, including a few I care so deeply about (you know who you are).

Thank you for every interaction I’ve had with you, even if it was just once.

Here’s to many more years 🖤
