How is everyone’s reading going? How many books have you read so far.
Mine is on the struggle bus I have been pushing through a slump since June but I’m hoping the holidays will reignite me again!

Book Appreciation Friday ✨

Have you ever read Kahlil Gibran? What are your thoughts on his works?

I’m personally on the fence, but I’am willing to give him another chance. I only really connected to a few pieces of poetry, but sometimes it’s like that 🤷🏻‍♀️

“But in a solitary life, there are rare moments when another soul dips near yours, as stars once a year brush the earth. Such a constellation was he to me”.
—Madeline Miller, Circe— by @bookslit

I have been reading poetry on my lunch break and I find it’s a complete mental cleanse before heading back.
What are your thoughts on poetry? Is it hard for you to read or is it just not your thing?
Let’s discuss! ⬇️

Poetry Currently Reading:

“Joy is the Justice We Give Ourselves”, J. Drew Lanham

Find your magic✨

Hey everyone! Can you believe it’s June already?!

I have been floating around on insta, but kept forgetting to post! 🫣

How is your reading going and what is your favorite read of the year so far?

Better yet what are your thoughts on Historical Romance? They were all the craze again a few years ago and suddenly dropped off. I personally still love them, they are a fun quick read! 💋

Who else is excited about Practical Magic 2 in September? I’m super excited this is one of my favorite comfort movies especially around spooky season!

If you haven’t read the series, read it! It’s magical, beautiful with a loving family.

What was the last book store you went to and did you buy or browse?
🕯️ 📖
The last time I went was a few months ago and I browsed and it was such a wonderful/cute store. Definitely want to go back and splurge on all the goodies! 🛍️

What was your most recent book haul? What did you happen to find? Leave ⬇️

I recently found a ton of Agatha Christie and book 1 of Anne of Green Gables. I’m collecting both editions and I love them so much!

What are your thoughts on the Penguin Classics mini editions?
I personally like the pocket sized/short versions of classic authors, you can take them anywhere and they aren’t heavy!

Psst.. also how is your poetry reading going for #nationalpoetrymonth ?
I have read 7 so far!
