Finally sharing my little review of Immortal Dark 🩸🖤 because apparently I will never say no to vampires, dark academia, and questionable decisions. 😂

If you’re curious whether this one lived up to the hype… here are my thoughts 👀📖✨

October TBR is officially here 🎃🖤📚

Give me gloomy weather, spooky reads, candles burning in the background, and absolutely no responsibilities except reading. 🕯️🍂

Now let’s see how many I actually get through… 😂

Recent 5 star read ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Everything’s Coming Up Rosie by @courtneywalsh was such a heartwarming, feel good read that completely stole my heart. This book is about dreams, finding your place in the world, and realizing that sometimes the life you end up with can be even better than the one you planned.

Rosie Waterman has spent years chasing her dream of becoming a successful actor in New York. But when she loses both her apartment and her job, she’s forced to face a difficult reality: what if the dream she’s been holding onto isn’t going to happen? Feeling left behind while her friends are getting married, building careers, and starting families, Rosie reluctantly takes a directing job in Door County, Wisconsin. The catch? The “regional theatre” she signed up for is actually located inside a retirement community, and her cast is made up entirely of senior citizens with little to no acting experience. As Rosie helps them prepare for a production of Cinderella, she begins to discover new friendships, unexpected opportunities, and maybe even a future she never saw coming. naturally alongside Rosie’s personal growth, making it feel even more meaningful.

What I loved most about this book was Rosie herself. She felt incredibly relatable messy, vulnerable, and trying her best while carrying the weight of disappointment. Watching her slowly rediscover her confidence and find joy in the unexpected was so rewarding. Courtney Walsh has a way of writing characters that feel like real people, and I found myself rooting for Rosie from the very first chapter.

The romance was sweet and tender, but for me, the heart of the story was Rosie’s personal growth. This isn’t just a love story, it’s a story about finding yourself after life doesn’t go according to plan. The themes of second chances, community, and embracing a new path really resonated with me.

The small town atmosphere was charming without feeling overdone, and the supporting characters added so much warmth and humor to the story. I loved how everyone had their own struggles and how the story emphasized the importance of connection and support. 🤍✨

If it has creepy vibes, suspicious characters, or makes me triple check my locks before bed... I’m immediately interested. Always a sucker for 80s horror 🖤🔪👻📖

entering my cozy but slightly terrified reading era. 🖤🔪 i’ve always love horror movies and one of my goal this year is to read them in books. Give me horror books, slasher vibes,
creepy thrillers, and movie nights where I swear I’m brave enough to read/watch alone. 📖🎃

✨ Review - Ghost Me, Maybe by Manda Collins 👻✨

I picked up Ghost Me, Maybe expecting a cute romcom with a fun paranormal twist, and honestly, it delivered exactly the kind of entertaining, cozy chaos I was in the mood for.
This book blends romance, mystery, humor, and just a touch of spooky energy in a way that feels light, fun, and super easy to get lost in.

The story tollows Callie a librarian who unexpectedly inherits a historic library off the coast of Louisiana from a former patron. After inheriting Khaki’s home, Callie moves in knowing she must stay there tor a tull year betore receiving the rest of the inheritance. Trey, (Khaki’s nephew) still bitter that his great-aunt left the property to someone outside the family, and believes Callie manipulated Khaki in some way.

As she tries to make sense of what’s happening, she ends up working alongside Trey who’s just as skeptical (and intriguing) as she is, and together they start peeling back layers of a mystery that’s been left unresolved for far too long. The ghost element isn’t just there for atmosphere, it actually pushes her into places she wouldn’t normally go, forcing her to confront both external danger and her own hesitation about trusting people again.

What I really enjoyed was how easy this book was to sink into.
The vibe felt cozy and funny, but there were still moments that genuinely made me invested in the characters. The paranormal element added something playful without completely taking over the romance, which I appreciated because it still telt grounded in relationships and personal growth.

The banter felt natural, the chemistry was cute, and the whole thing had that “just one more chapter” energy. It’s quirky in the best way, a little spooky without actually being scary, and honestly just such a good palate cleanser if you want something fun and light.

Overall, this felt like the kind of book you pick up when you want something cozy, funny, and slightly whimsical with romcom energy and a ghostly little twist 👻🫶🏻

currently juggling arcs and mood reads like it’s a full time job 📖 starting Ghost Me, Maybe and slowly making my way through Savage Bonds... one chapter at a time.

not rushing, just vibing with the stories and letting them unfold when they’re ready because honestly, the best reading days are the slow ones. ✨

🪻🌷 Brighter Than Before by Courtney Walsh 🪻🌷

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Rec: Yes

I love this book. It’s so clean. very well put story line.
It follows Claire, who is around her 40s and a divorcee. Who just wanted to discover what she wants in life, and her first step is to move to Chicago. As she makes all of these decisions to improve her life, she realizes the importance of staying true to herself. This story line is very well put. I love how its not just focused on “romance” but more on the journey of self discovery and healing.
Haven’t read any romance book that the main characters are around 40ish but i love every chapter.
It’s so clean, also relatable at the same time. It had me giggling, and I love how Claire navigates all the things that she’s experiencing for the very first time.
I love the relationship between her daughter Millie, I love how supportive her daughter is to her and always try to uplift her in all things life. It was also filled with life lessons and the idea of its never too late for start over. 🫶🏻

• Self Discovery / Healing
• Slow Burn
• Found Family
