It’s my 12th year in legal business.
Almost 17 years total.

As a child I always wanted to be a stylist and I’m so glad I had the balls to be able to chase my dream. Also now inspiring the youth both young men and women to dream chase too! Being an example, with real work, codes & ethics, my actions, not just my sound.

To the young Indians coming up know we all have a space, we all have a position. Stay cool, no matter if you’re up or down. The best thing is to let someone show themselves and you move around accordingly. It’s chess. And once you can shut up all noise with a check mate, you are now my friend a Cheif.

Also, I had more fun as an Indian, I didn’t have to pay for things as much 😂😂😂

To God you been my ride and died. You to real! My clients, and the referrals, I appreciate you all for the great things you have done for my son and I. My barber brothers, thank you for making work so damn funny, yall some funny niggas mane. To my son, thanx for being born because I would have never took hair serious and wasted all this talent. All this started because I didn’t want to get an “incident reports” about my baby from daycares. Lord knows we woulda been incidenting chile.

To people like us that keep shop culture alive, we appreciate you. These lofts taking away from the community of what the barber shop and salon is but I wanna let all the salons and shop still thriving in this new way of things yall the real MVPS. I love yall real bad.

How it started. (Short Story)

I witnessed a young man getting escorted by the football team while I was chilling on my porch. I was preparing a tailgating party at my house for their game day. (yes, I’m that kind of mom)

I’m literally bawling my eyes out because I remembered how I felt during my senior night, I quit band right before so I wouldn’t have to walk alone for my senior night, parents not around and my aunt unjustifiably kicked me out her house a week before senior year started. Which caused me basically to be homeless my whole senior year of high school.

I asked my son where was his parents? He explained that his dad passed away a few weeks before senior night, mom is out of town taking care of business and caring for her children and navigating the horrific new norm without the father. His wonderful coaches and team at @akronbuchtelfootball made sure he didn’t walk alone. *I cried harder*

I consulted with the head football coach to tell him to let the young man know I’ll be sending him to prom. I didn’t even know his name yet. I learned his name is TaShawn. I asked my son was he cool, my boy vouched for him and the rest was history.

Me and TaShawn got tight, grew to care for him like a bonus son.

How it ended: FLY ASF!!!!!

Shoutout to my team who literally asked NO QUESTIONS & said yes to helping making this young man’s special day amazing. We didnt even know him honestly and we put him together like he was our FIRST nephew. 🫶 thank you!
