Bits and bobs of October so far🐻🍯🥐🤎

My favourite month is finally here, and I’ve been making the most of it with park reads, slow evenings at home, puzzles and little trips to the farmers market (the apple pie never stood a chance)

Books lately:
- The Poison Daughter
- House of Flame and Shadow
- The Knight and the Moth

Almost done with the Knave and the Moon and not quite ready to say goodbye to Bartholomew just yet (my Shayla!!!). I’m also getting slightly nervous about how this is all going to end

Finally picking up Vasmora next, and I honestly feel like I’ve been waiting forever to get back into this world. So so so excited🥹

Hi friends, I’m back & I’ve missed this little community so so much🫂

I took some time away after losing someone incredibly dear to me, my grandpa. I didn’t have the capacity to read, post, or be on here for a while. Slowly but surely though, I’m finding my way back to all the things that make me happy :)

Reading updates;

Currently reading HOFAS before the new ACOTAR releases and I’m loving it so much!!! Literally proof that I really need to stop letting Goodreads reviews put me off books before I’ve even given them a chance😩

Also reading The Poison Daughter — I’m still pretty early on, but the storyline has me intrigued and I’m excited to see where it goes. I’ve also heard there’s a plot twist… I love a good plot twist hehe

I hope that you all are well & I can’t wait to catch up on all your reading updates🥹

Life as of lately🍵🧚🏻🌷🌱🪿

Reading updates;
- Eldritch did what it needed to do (aka ruin me), so I took a little break to recover before starting something new—6 stars!!!! And I genuinely cannot wait for Vasmora
- Started Wild Reverence thinking it might not be for me, but it’s really grown on me. Such a beautiful story so far, I’m excited to see where it goes🥺

Life updates; - Reading in my favourite park (spring is here, flowers are blooming and I’m very happy about it) - Slow evenings at home - Lots of walks - Journaling
- Watched Reminders of Him at the cinema this past weekend and cried like a baby… anyone else or just me?😩

Been feeling a little run down lately so I’ve been slowing down this month and savouring the quiet moments, hope you’ve all had a lovely March🫂

Happy Tuesday loves💌

The first week of March has looked like reading in the park, long walks now that spring is finally here (so so happy!!!!!), and taking more photos than usual

I also went on a little weekend getaway with the most beautiful views, and spotted the cutest little blackbird perched nearby🥹

My evenings have mostly been spent with Pride and Prejudice, slowly annotating and really soaking it in, and I also picked up the Knight and the Moth which I’m so excited to start

Life lately⛅️🍵🕯️🦢🍃

February’s been a quiet month, and I’ve been really soaking in these slower moments before spring rolls in🌷

Reading;
- Buddy read with @lillyfa44 in the park & finished Anathema (highly recommend reading outside, it does something to the soul)
- Started Eldritch and I’m already invested. Slightly concerned about what Zevander’s backstory is going to do to me (my shayla)
- Picked up Pride and Prejudice and I’m taking it slow. I’ve made it a goal to read more classics this year, annotate them properly, and really take my time (I have been loving this so much)

Doing;
- Slow mornings at home
- Morning walks, reminding myself not to take where I live for granted. These views are beautiful!!
- Did some yoga. Always feels good to move and clear my head
- Birding photography. Still one of my most peaceful hobbies

It’s felt so good to unwind, spend time with the people I love & read good books🥹

Happy Sunday girlies!! I saw @haleyskylarreads do this tag and immediately had to join in — sharing the love and tagging a few bookish friends🥹

Evenings, always. But weekend mornings with a hot drink are elite  
⏾ audiobook or ebook
Ebooks for sure, although I do love an audiobook for walks or sitting outside 
⏾ fiction or non-fiction
Fiction forever (I’m a fantasy girlie first, always). I’ll pick up non-fiction every now and then, but usually on audio 
⏾ paperback or hardback
Hardback!!!! Expensive but they’re just too beautiful. I regret nothing🙂‍↕️

Both. Give me the excitement of a new release and the thrill of discovering an older book🥹 
⏾ classic lover or hater
Classic lover (slowly but surely)

Mostly silence, but nothing beats reading outside in nature or at the beach😩

Life lately & a Sunday reflection on my 2026 reading goals 🍵☁️

This year I want to read more mindfully, learning that it’s okay to DNF books and only keep reading the ones I’m actually enjoying. No more forcing myself through stories that aren’t doing it for me

I want to make time to read outdoors more often after work (love love love nature), and to start my mornings with a chapter before reaching for my phone

Slow reading, better habits, and choosing what feels good🙂‍↕️🤝🏼

⟢ Nocticadia: has been sitting on my TBR for a while and I’m super excited to dive in
⟢ One Dark Window: I’m desperate to read this duology before the end of spooky season

Me 🤝🏼 whimsical settings and overly ambitious TBRs

I picked up The Book of Azrael recently and added it to my October hopefuls - I’ve heard great things and I’m ridiculously excited to read it, I just need to get through the rest of my (very long) TBR first😭
