Happy Weekend Friends!

As I’m starting to organize for next year’s book club, I’m going to start with the author zooms. This has been fun for us. The way it works if there’s anyone new thinking about doing it is

1. We meet via zoom for 30 minutes
If you don’t like to be on camera that’s fine, still come with your camera off. If you don’t want to talk, that’s fine, everyone knows I do enough of it for the group anyways! 😉🤪🫠😅
2. Sometimes we read the same author’s books and talk about it, but sometimes we just talk to them about being an author. I am looking at trying to get us free books for doing this with them!
3. We try to correlate a time between 6pm and 8pm est Monday through Thursday just because that works for me, but I’m always flexible on adjusting to make it work for the majority.
4. We do aim to have at least one author a month.

Drop your name here if you want to be added to the chat to help us brainstorm which authors, which books, etc.

If you’re an author and seeing this or know of one please reach out. We are looking for at least 12!

What are you up to this weekend?

What’s going on this week for you?

I’m booked with the following…
Reading a few more books for my fall reading challenge, my @the52bookclub challenge, working on all the tv shows especially the one for book to screen for my book club and another author visit with my book club girlies! Lastly, we have a baby shower this weekend for one of my really good friends too!

PAGES OF OUR PAST 📖🍁
Happy 1 year anniversary @authoremilyscotto !

What a special author visit last night with my book club friends!
Emily was so kind to send us not only all the cute bookish things but also a copy of her very first book.

We were honored to not only be able to read her first book, but also got to zoom with her! Thank you again Emily!

Plus now we are SO HOOKED! Book 2 is already out and book 3 comes out spring 2027! Can’t wait to get my hands on them both and maybe talk her into a fourth one ;) !

Pages of Our Past was a cute, cozy, small town romance with great friendship development, overcoming real life’s challenges, found family connection, some fall vibes and so much more!

I’m hoping to do some fall things this weekend! What are you up to this weekend?

THRILLER • THURSDAY

With the one and only @fmcfaddenauthor !

You know I got my hands on this one right away Tuesday when it came out in order to keep the trend alive and say,
“I’ve read ALL of Freida’s books!”. 👏
Thanks to @hoopladigital for my free audiobook copy! 🎧
I’m already over halfway and WILL be finishing today!
I’m not a huge fan of witch books, but it’s the perfect one for this time of year. 🧙🎃
Please let me know if you’re reading this one right now! 🗣️

It’s Monday!!!
& I got to see Verity this weekend!
HUGE @colleenhoover fan & read this book when it first came out.
I’ve also been on a HUGE books to screen kick this year.

I promise no spoilers here! 🎬🍿

I will start by I loved the movie!
But I will say as someone who read the book years ago it was easier for me to say that and I can understand why some of the book lovers who read Verity recently aren’t as much of a fan with the changes that were made.

How was your weekend?
What should my next book to screen be?!

Well there we have it!

I have completed ALL of @alicewriterland ‘s books and this was one of the BEST ones for me to go out with!

This was a fast pace thriller that draws you in from the start! But unlike some thrillers that lose you throughout, this one keeps you wanting to find out where it’s going to go. An interesting take on a mother daughter relationship in this one. Audio was also done well!

I cannot wait for her new release which comes out next year!

Is there a release you already know about for next year that you can’t wait to get your hands on?
