My first birthday on booksta 🤩 some people might clown me for saying this because I’m still young but I honestly can’t believe I’m 23 😭 who let me be an adult??? My goal is to actually stay off social media today and be present lol. But I couldn’t resist making this. Enjoy some silly baby pics of me. by @bookwormsbakes

This week is Banned Books Week, and I am here to say that reading is a human right.

I volunteered with a literacy nonprofit and a library for many years. Both were incredibly formative experiences for me. Reading is empowerment, and it’s important for us to protect it. I feel lucky to live in a place where I have access to books, and grew up reading so many stories that are censored in other places. With that, I present my list of 54 banned or challenged books. Unfortunately, this could’ve been much longer. But I had to get off Canva at some point.

Support your local library, read a banned book, and see more from the American Library Association on this topic at the link in my bio. Happy reading!

Some of these were on the list of most challenged books from 2025

September recap and October hopefuls ✨🍓 books and bakes! I actually cannot believe tomorrow is the first day of October 😭 but it also means my birthday is so soon 🙈what was your favorite read this month, or what’s on your tbr for next? I have a mix of romance books, historical fiction and mystery/thrillers.

#bookstagram #romancebooks #bookish #booksbooksbooks #whatireadthismonth

I was a little nervous to continue the twisted series since book 2 wasn’t my favorite but I loved this one! Josh and Jules as enemies to lovers 🤌 a thousand splendid suns actually ripped my heart out but it was as incredible as everyone said.

Oops…in my defense, my mile high hold still hasn’t come in at the library!

Ice cream sandwiches not pictured but this was such a solid month!! Apple cake required me to make caramel for the first time which was fun.

This stack can’t stop staring at me from my nightstand 👀 which should I start with first?

Ladies and gentleman, court is in session 😤👩‍⚖️ the following books have all been charged with very serious crimes, and I’m here to deliver the verdicts. Okay I’m done lol…I’m obsessed with Judge Judy and Law and Order so please welcome to my book courtroom. Have you been personally victimized by any of the books included in this post? Leave a comment down below. You may be entitled to financial compensation.

Freddy…the man you are 😮‍💨 also I loveeee Ro. Peyton Corinne may your pillow always be cold on both sides because you ate with this series.

Y’all I haven’t even read ACOTAR yet and I’ve already been victimized by it smh

At this point do I just buy the whole series?? To whoever has this on Libby rn…don’t be shy, return it early 😘

Could I ever live in Rome, Kentucky?? Nah. But will I pretend? Yup 🙂‍↕️

This book is my entire personality. Emily Henry you delivered and then some!!

Woohoo one month since starting this account! Thank you to all of the lovely people who’ve interacted with me and been so kind :) it’s time for some confessions 🫣 let me know if you share any.

Me telling myself I’d use social media less this year…and then me starting this account lol. Trying to still maintain some balance so if you have any tips please comment.

Sometimes I get stressed about my feed and then I remember it’s really not that deep and laugh at myself. We’re just here to have fun!! Posting isn’t a competition.

I’m trying to be intentional with the people I follow and interact with! I want to actually engage with others and not just mindlessly do F4F to reach a certain number.

People on here are so talented and creative. Love that there’s a side of the internet for everyone who is as obsessed with reading as I am. by @bookwormsbakes

I finished Bunny and felt compelled to make this post lol. Fair warning that these books range in level of unhinged from silly to 😳. So some of you horror book fans might have many more to add. Also reading the Goodreads reviews cracked me upppp. There are some creative people out there. What’s the craziest book you’ve ever read? Let me know down below 👇👇 and if it’s Tender is the Flesh…should I try it??

#bookstagram #bookish #booksbooksbooks #reading #books

Y’all…I don’t even know what to say about this one 😭 I read those words but did they sink into my brain?? Idk. Now I can never look at a bunny the same way again. Why’d they have to do that to me?? Parts of it were funny though. Like those class discussions where pretentious girls said a whole lot of nothing? I’ve seen that before irl.

I think dark romance lovers would probably consider this book pretty tame?? If you read a lot of it, let me know in the comments. But I was gagged.

Where to begin with Meghan Quinn books omg. I’m convinced some of her books are rage bait and just a test to see how many outrageous scenes she can include. (But I will eat it up anyway. You go queen.) The Cane brothers is the first series of hers I read so it’s dear to me. But the Lamaze class scene?? Be fr.

I’m just glad cookies and cream isn’t my favorite ice cream flavor. Next! by @bookwormsbakes

Some accounts I’ve been loving! This is my first time doing one of these and it was hard picking who to include because there are so many amazing people. I definitely plan to do more. 🫶🫶

Everyone is doing this with wholesome things so please enjoy my unhinged version! Because not everyone is the perfect reader and it’s okay not to finish your TBR 🫶

They have no idea what emotional damage is coming…but you do 🤭

We’re all guilty of it

Because it’s normal and you shouldn’t feel bad!

Time is precious…DNF the book!!
